I'm reading Nice Dragons Finish Last by Rachel Aaron. It is told in the future where magic has reawakened on Earth, so dragons, spirits, etc. are intermingling with humans. So far, I'm really enjoying it.
I'm reading Sky Full of Elephants by Cebo Campbell. All the white people (at least in the US) have drowned themselves and people of color are now free to be themselves is the basic premise.
I'm hoping to read Rachel Kushner's Creation Lake. Plan to get it in October as my next Audible read. From the reviews, I don't think it's for our group - too talky and self-consciously philosophical/political. But I'm interested in opinions if anyone else is reading it.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Chuck Rosenthal, the author, looks like he's a bit of an unknown - lots of books but few reviews. Now a retired English prof.https://www.lmu.edu/academics/faculty...

Thanks for the recommendation.
Gretchen, that one sounds like fantasy, which the last couple books this year leaned toward. Is the focus of the group changing? Just curious.
