Barbara | 364 comments I was catching up on a few of the "Trifles" podcasts yesterday and today - Scott Monty and Bert Wolders do two podcasts about Sherlock Holmes, Trifles and a longer one called I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere -
Anyway, today they did one about David Stuart Davies, who died a couple weeks ago. This was the first I heard about his death. Davies was a very good pastiche writer, having written a number of novels and short stories, as well as the account of the making of the Granada/Jeremy Brett series called "Bending The Willow".
Really sad because he was a great member of the Holmes community, and one of the best pastiche writers.

J. Rubino (jrubino) | 319 comments I met Davies many years ago, we were on a panel together - this was shortly after one of my Holmes works came out, and after his book, "Bending the Willow" came out.
He was a lovely person - great sense of humor, generous with his time and knowledge - a very good pastiche writer, too with many Holmes novels and short stories to his credit.
