The Catholic Book Club discussion

For the first time in the history of this club, we have a quadruple tie for the first place, with seven votes each. The moderator has applied a random generator to decide the order in which those four books will be read. This is the result:

The BOTM for November 2024 will be Voyage to Alpha Centauri by Michael D. O'Brien

The BOTM for December 2024 will be The Marian Option: God’s Solution to a Civilization in Crisis by Carrie Gress

The BOTM for January 2025 will be Prison Journal, Volume 1 The Cardinal Makes His Appeal by George Pell

The BOTM for February 2025 will be The Second Greatest Story Ever Told by Michael E. Gaitley

The three books that received less than 2 votes will be removed from the Voting List, and those that got 1 vote will be returned to the end of the Nominations List. The seven books at the top of the Nominations List will be added to the Voting List for the March 2025 voting, which will take place in January 15.

I just picked up my own copy of Voyage to Alpha Centauri because they had it at my local Catholic bookstore. What a doorstopper! This book is huge and I can't wait to read it!
