₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊ Faye ₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊ (writing_under_the_moonlight) | 3 comments I love reading, and I'm also an aspiring author, so I would love to review books for people.

I like almost any genera, with fantasy and romance taking the lead for favorite.

I'm a fast reader, so usually I can give you an estimate on how long it will take me to read the book, based on other books I'm reading, and I'd love to leave a public review, or DM for a more in depth review.

Please give it to me as Epub or PDF

Cheers,
Faye

Jeffer Nightwind | 32 comments Hello Faye, great to meet you!

I recently released my first book in the Bane War series, https://www.amazon.com/Fury-Bane-War-...

Series theme is Heaven's angels, technological beings, waging eternal war against Navia's demons, magical beings. 5000 years ago they signed a peace treaty, but now wage war through proxies. Yava is the latest battleground.

Saffa is this book's protagonist, a sassy battlemage wielding a longsword while casting fire and ice magic.

The book takes inspiration from Slavic mythology and Ukraine's fight for freedom.

I had 3 women beta read and they gave mostly positive feedback, but now I'm trying to get more eyes and brains on the story. I'm eager to improve the dark fantasy and romance pieces, as I have at least six more books planned.

Genre is DESR (dark epic science romantasy). Content rating is MA, for strong language, intense and gory battles, explicit consensual sex, dark rituals, torture, frightful encounters, horrifying scenarios.

If you are interested in reading, let me know via message or email to author@banewar.com, and I can get you a hardback, paperback, or .epub copy, whatever you want.

Corina Bair | 24 comments Hi Faye!
I'd be thrilled if you'd consider reading and reviewing my book - Poinsettia Lane. It's a small town, slow burn romance with found family and all the feel good vibes - a perfect read as a palette cleanser or when you're in the mood for something lighter and easier.

Blurb:
What do accidental stalking, panic attacks, and landscaping have in common?

Everly’s life is exactly as it should be, until her estranged sister comes back to town the same day Asim Jabbar knocks on her door, nearly knocking Everly off her slipper-clad feet and her anxious heart right out of her chest.

After the flirtiest plant delivery of her life, Everly tries to find her Hot Delivery Guy without becoming a stalker, then digs herself into a hole when she enlists his help re-landscaping her yard. An already immaculate yard that does not need any new plants.

Asim agrees, on one condition: that Everly get her perfectly manicured hands dirty and join him. Despite Asim turning her life upside down, Everly can't stop thinking about the muscular, tattooed plant dad.

But when Asim’s world collapses and past scars threaten their future, Everly doesn’t realize all that Asim has sacrificed for her until it’s too late.

George Veck | 31 comments Hi Faye,

My newest book 91-Day Sanction is a crime fiction tale set in Gwynedd, North Wales that is 67k words long. Should it pique your interest, I have it available in epub, kpf or pdf form. You're welcome to either DM me or email for a copy: georgeveckauthor@hotmail.com

Best wishes!

Blurb
Sadistic work coach James Burgess has finally bagged his dream job after three years of trying, two hundred miles from home in rural Gwynedd, north Wales. But with promotion firmly in mind, cutting the jobcentre's wage bill soon becomes his sport, at any cost, leaving a trail of chaos and hunger in his wake.

As house prices soar and job prospects dwindle, many of James' ''casualties of war'' wind up at Morywelon homeless hostel, where the waiting list is insatiable. Managing such a place takes gall, and Denise Groves' ten-year stint certainly took its psychological toll. But she's back for a second spell, to the job she loved and held since leaving school with no GCSEs.

The catch? Well, this time, their security guards have been laid off...

Denise fiercely defends residents against ignorant scorn the wider community assumes to inflict, so is held in the highest regard by most. But tough decisions must be made, and hell-raisers don't always leave when asked nicely...

Denise needs her support network more than ever, but it's fallen off a cliff. After a decade in the 'single lane', all best mate Jules wants is to set her up. Great, if only for Jules' dodgy choice of men. Seedy, serial cockney scammer Rick is her latest, and has a few turbulent potential answers for Denise's 'problem'.

Jenn Rizzoto | 41 comments Hi, I'm currently looking for reviewers for this book:

Two Novellas

Two life-affirming stories of ordinary people in extraordinary situations.

The Golden Flyswatter takes us to a retro dive bar in Santa Monica, California, where young Natalie Schoenfeldt, an ingenue from Wisconsin, gets a job cocktailing. She soon realizes that the patrons are not who they seem, and Hollywood opportunities may not be either.

The Walk of Washington takes us to present-day Philadelphia, where a young filmmaker is playing piano to pay the rent. When he meets an older gentleman who looks a lot like Benjamin Franklin, the most excellent adventure of his young adult life begins.

Hi! Do you like urban fantasy? I'm looking for readers for my 3rd book in the series. I'm also offering to send the first two (one at a time) so you can get caught up. Which means, I'd understand if your review comes a little later than launch day.

Here's the blurb:
Since Hally’s fated-friend, Nolan, upended her exile mere months ago, they’ve saved the elven realm from a ruthless mage, a deadly curse, and a war with the fae. Now terrorists have struck the elven capital and the royals are being held hostage. It’s Hally and Nolan to the rescue, again.
Despite a family crisis in Paris, they’re forced to drop everything and scramble for an open portal as the network collapses. Every victory has a cost and as secrets surface and sacrifices mount, Hally and Nolan must ask themselves: can they save the realm without losing each other?
*picture on form is not part of the cover. Cover reveal will be August 23th.

Tamara Rector (tamararector) | 15 comments So it’s 1997 in this small town in Nova Scotia. A girl goes missing in the sea caves and comes back three days later. She's barely breathing, near death, and completely traumatized.
Now her friends are starting to see some messed up stuff.
And her boyfriend?
He’s hearing voices.
Specifically one that says: kill her friends, or she dies.

It’s got cursed legends, missing kids, ghost trains, and emotionally unstable boys, and one boy with a switchblade.
Aka, everything I love in a book.

If you're into IT x Goonies x Stand by Me x Stranger Things, you’re gonna be obsessed.

🖤 Tropes included:
• Haunted small town vibes.
• Found family but traumatized
• Childhood trauma, but make it supernatural.
• Morally gray, broken boys
• Girls who fight back.
• The “wait—did that really happen?” type of horror.

It’s just under 500 pages, and I’m sending out ARCs between Aug 15–30.
The book releases Oct 1.
If you're down to read early and leave an honest review, link’s below. 🖤

K. Casillas | 6 comments Hi!

I’m looking for a small group of readers to receive an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of my upcoming dark fantasy novel, Shadows Over Morbourne, ahead of its October 14th release.

About the book:
The cursed town of Morbourne is rotting from the inside out. The undead prowl its streets. Shadows whisper in its alleys. And every hour, the darkness grows stronger.

A reluctant band of warriors, rogues, and mages are all that stands between Morbourne and total ruin — but in a place where the dead don’t stay dead and every ally hides a secret, survival may be the most dangerous illusion of all.

Some will fight. Some will fall. And some will discover that the greatest threat is not the undead… but each other.

Details:

Genre: Dark Fantasy / Epic Fantasy / Slow Burn Romance

Formats: EPUB or PDF

Keith Long | 7 comments I wrote and self-published a fantasy novel, Swells Over Still Waters, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... — No sequels. No magic or powers or trolls or goblins or chosen-ones or any of that — just natural wonder.

It’s sort of a pirate story. If you enjoyed The Queens Thief series by Meghan Whalen Turner, or the Brotherband Chronicles by John Flannigan, or even Isles of the Emberdark by Branden Sanderson, you’ll probably like this.

It’s a story about dealing with one’s past and the baggage of parents, and about self-discovery. It features an intricate ecosystem of fantastic creatures, all inspired by real ones, and a fascinating history filled with quotes from in-world texts to open each chapter, and a detailed map I made in an illustrator.

I did all the writing, editing, artworks, and audio work by myself — no AI whatsoever. If you want to check out my self-narrated audiobook, it’s available on my Substack, to be completed at the end of 2025: https://open.substack.com/pub/losersf...

and if you just want a copy of the full book, no strings attached, that’s here (Word, PDF, EPUB): https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile... If you read it, thanks. If you review it, thanks twice.

Carmen Caja | 5 comments Hi Faye,

Would you be interested to be an ARC reader for my book RAS SIOQÁUL? It's a YA fantasy, complete at 94k words.

Atropos Colley is about to decide what element she links her soul to, and one thing is for certain, whatever she chooses will cause irreparable damage to her family.

Calédrial is a magical camp where sorcerers go to learn to control their powers. The Colley siblings, Atropos, Riven and Ingo, are on their way there. Since it is the second year at Calédrial for Atropos and Riven, they will have to decide on one of the four elements to specialize in. For the Colleys it’s a no brainer, every generation chooses water. But the twins are planning on defying their father’s expectations by choosing another element, a rebellion that could mean being ostracized from their family.

Please tell me if you're interested, I'd love to have you on my team!
