I used to live in the States and now live somewhere else where I attend a British curriculum school. If you think US history is bad, imagine having a curriculum where basically EVERYTHING happens in London 😭😭 its genuinely miserable lmaoWe're doing US History now and I'm lowkey excited. It's going to be very interesting seeing it from a Eurocentric perspective...
I've already noticed some obvious differences; for one, our topic only covers around 50 years, starting in around the 1830s, meaning we don't cover the Revolution, The founding fathers, the beginnings of slavery, and more. They refuse to acknowledge the origins of the colonies, simply calling them 'Americans' or 'colonies'.
I'm curious to see any more differences that show up (btw, we've only done 3 lessons...this is a lot of differences already!)
