👻 Start/End Dates
This challenge will START on Monday September 30th and END on Friday, November 1st. You can start logging books as early as September 29th and ALL books need to be logged by the night of November 1st. You can get bonus points if you log books on Halloween.
👻 RULES
🎃 All books must be logged between the aforementioned start and end dates! Everyone can start logging books the night before the start date.
🎃 DNFs, comic books, and books under 100 pages DO NOT COUNT towards points for your team.
🎃 there IS a point system you will need to follow. If you write a personal review outside of logging the books, please link it so you can get the points! Please also specify in the review that it is counted towards the “pumpkin spice and everything nice” reading challenge so we know its for the right book! Additionally, writing prompts and said personal reviews, written in the log or otherwise, MUST be 50+ words to get full credit.
🎃 audiobooks DO count, but please log the paperback version for the challenge so you can get points for the # of pages!
👻 HOW TO EARN POINTS
You can get points for: # of pages, star rating, and prompts! Prompts are unlimited WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW + ONE TIME BONUS POINTS
# of pages:
100-200 (+2 points)
201-300 (+4 points)
301-400 (+6 points)
401-500 (+8 points)
501+ (+10 points)
700+ (+12 points because im nice <3)
Star rating:
1 star (+1)
2 stars (+2)
3 stars (+3)
4 stars (+4)
5 stars (+5)
If your decimal is UNDER 0.5, please round DOWN. If your decimal is 0.5 or OVER, please round UP.
RAB (Read A Book) prompts are (+7 each). Activity prompts are (+6) each. Writing prompts are (+9) each. If you write a personal review, that is (+8). Again: writing prompts and personal reviews MUST be 50+ words for the full amount of points.
Buddy reads are (+7)
BOTM is (+10)
Bonus points ONE TIME if your birthday is in October. BONUS bonus points if it’s Halloween <3.
Prompts and how to log books will be posted on the individual team logs. Please make sure you are logging on the CORRECT TEAM LONG so that there is no confusion.
