Thanks for joining me TerryJane :)I read The Silent Companions last year and am looking forward to reading this one as well.
Have you read any other books from this author?
I plan to start the first weekend in October since my copy will be headed back to the library mid month.
M, this will be my first book by Ms. Purcell. I'll be curious to hear which of the two books you like best.
I am curious to read your thoughts and comments about this book! I read it last year. "The silent companions" remains my favorite so far, I believe. :)
I just arrived at the beach yesterday for a week's vacation. Whether I get to read much this week is up in the air. If not, I'll get to it next week.
The show we planned to see today got postponed, so I ended up with extra time on my hands. I read The Shape of Darkness and enjoyed it quite a lot. The author kept me guessing about events from the story, and the audio narrator did a splendid job as well. Thanks for suggesting this one, M. I will look for other books by Ms. Purcell. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it TerryJane :)This was actually a less enjoyable read for me in comparison to The Silent Companions. I think I was expecting a little more spookiness and Agnes felt a little dull to me. I also didn't feel much tension which left me a little bored at times.
Not bad, but definitely not better than The Silent Companions in my opinion.

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!
Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.
