As we come into Autumn/Fall there are so many flavors and foods that I wait for each year to make. Here are the Fall Flavors.

Apples are a fall-friendly ingredient that can be used in a variety of recipes. You can’t beat a glass of fresh apple cider on a fall day, and hot apple cider will warm you up on a chilly autumn evening. Apple cinnamon cupcakes, freshly baked apple pie, and homemade apple sauce and apple cider donuts are some of the fun ways to enjoy apples.

2, Cinnamon
The spicy flavor of cinnamon instantly takes any dish and makes it a fall classic. From warm cinnamon rolls, hot from the oven cinnomony snickerdoodle cookies to just adding the spice to apple pie or cider.

3. Ginger
Ground ginger can add a kick of flavor to a wide range of foods but is especially delicious in gingerbread. While gingerbread is associated with Christmastime, gingersnap cookies are a perfect autumn cookie, especially when paired with hot tea. As an added bonus, ginger is a natural pain reliever.

4. Caramel
Salted caramel is a sweet and salty treat perfect for customers craving an escape from spice. Caramel cookies, and hot drinks such as Caramel lattes have an especially autumnal quality that's comforting on a cold day. For a special fall-themed treat, caramel apples are always a crowd-pleaser.

5. Pumpkin
A traditional flavor of fall that some people are trying to get away from but other people can't think of fall without pumpkin. Carving them, pumpkin pie, pumpkin custard and of course pumpkin coffee and lattes.

6. Maple
While often associated with pancakes and waffles, maple shines bright as a standalone autumn flavor. It’s sweet, with notes of caramel, nuttiness, and a hint of warmth. What’s fantastic about maple is that it pairs seamlessly with both savory and sweet ingredients. Drizzle it over rosemary-seasoned roasted sweet potatoes for the ultimate flavor fusion.

7. Cranberry
This one I eat all year round but then I love anything cranberry. Tart, traditional, and totally American, the cranberry takes top prize. Think about the seasonal flavor possibilities: Cranberry and cream cupcakes, cranberry bellinis, cranberry salsa, cranberry sauce and cranberry orange seltzer. Cranberry is a Fall favorite and it’s healthy, too.

8 Pecan
Pecans are a popular ingredient in autumnal treats like pecan pies, and their flavor is also being used in savory dishes and beverages. Pecans have a sweet and buttery taste, and a slightly bitter outside. They also have a mildly floral, foresty aroma. Pecans are a good source of healthy fats, protein, fiber, and vitamins and minerals.

9. Sweet Potato
Sweet potatoes though eaten all year round is a very fall like flavor. From Sweet Potato pie to roasted sweet potatoes the sugary-sweet flavor with earthy undertones and hints of nuttiness make them so good.

10. Chai
Sharing some similarities with pumpkin in terms of ingredients and taste, Chai is a fantastic fall flavor to get you into that autumn groove. Chai blends aromatic spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, ginger, cardamom, star anise, and vanilla to create a warm and cozy fall vibe. Mix it up with black tea or creamy milk, serve it over ice or hot in a mug, and you’ve got yourself the perfect autumn beverage. Swap out the milk for a protein shake, and you’re good to go. Plus, when autumn means baking, don’t hesitate to sprinkle those chai spices into everything from cookies and cupcakes to ice cream and pancakes.

11. Pear
Fall tends to be all about apples, but we can't forget about their underrated cousin: the pear. Pears are a great way to add an unexpected flavor profile to any dish. Plus, they're just as versatile as apples and can be used in everything from sauces and cakes to salads and ciders.R

12. Sage
Sage has an earthy, slightly minty flavor that can add a warming touch to many fall dishes. Sage is often mixed into stuffing at Thanksgiving. You can also add sage to flavor soups, casseroles, and poultry.

13. Brown Butter
Brown butter is truly a fall flavor. Brown butter tastes nutty, toasted, and like toasted hazelnuts. Brown butter can add a rich, robust flavor to desserts, like cookies and icing, as well as savory dishes, like fish and vegetables.

14. Bourbon
Bourbon's flavor profile is filled with some of our favorite fall flavors: vanilla, oak, and caramel. And while a bourbon neat or a hot toddy cocktail might be up your alley, you can also use bourbon in some fall recipes. Add bourbon to pecan pie, candy, sweet potatoes and bourbon chicken for some flavorful whiskey-infused food.

15. Hazelnut
