and perhaps it was better if it stayed that way, for though he was unaware, he was powerful and therefore, quite dangerous
But Stephen could not listen to reason and stay put, so one day he set out to tame the dragon
Through mountains, oceans and cities he raced through,he slowly realized he didn't know where the dragon was?
As he began to turn back, pink showers of ash started falling down,as his curiosity got the better of him he attempted to taste one of the scrumptious looking pieces
As He placed one in his mouth, he was reminded of a familiar taste- rose petals. When his family was too poor for anything else, he would chew on them, trying to remind himself that this moment would pass. Suddenly, a horrible burning pain broke into his chest,
It was almost as if someone had plunged a sword through his heart, but when he looked down, nothing of that sort had happened
He shoved his pain away and proceeded onwards with his journey, trekking through fields of daisies that gave him nasty red rashes (perhaps he had an allergy?), swimming through attacking jellyfish, travelling through a heavily raining forest before coming to a stop in front of a large cave that looked EXACTLY like where a dragon would live...
And he realised that he may have just accidentally found the dragon by getting lost on the way home. He sighs dramatically.
"I guess I'm not going home tonight" he muttered to himself, his voice barely audible over the roar of a majestic creature
Stephen enters the cave, and finds himself in front of the most magnificent creature he has ever seen, its scales shimmering with a spectrum of colors that shift and swirl as it moves.
Midnights of days old, laughing under the moon's unwavering gaze; treads through the snow-capped woods, snow-angels smiling up at them;races through the village square, to which he always fell to defeat—After all these years, her long-lost brother had returned!
Lyra had no weapon, all she would be able to do is get her brother out of there. She needed a distraction, or else neither of them would make it out of there alive.
Glancing around the cave, her eyes fall on a pile of rocks in the corner. Would she really have a chance with a beast like this? Said beast cracks open a piercing amber eye in her direction, and before Lyra can think it through, she lifts her brother over her shoulder, hurls the stones at the dragon, and takes off to the entrance.
Her sentimentality is put on hold as suddenly, a memory fills Lyra's mind, a memory of an old fairytale. Long ago, there was a jaded prince, who, upon being rejected by the one he loved, tried to end his life, but it didn't work. Instead, he was magically transformed into a grand dragon. A rush of hope and relief flood's Lyra's body as she remembers a vital part of the story. The dragon is said to have healing tears.
"There's hope yet!" Lyra rejoyced. If she could tame the dragon, he might spare a few to her, and then she could finally bring her brother home. Yes, she decided. This is what I must do. Gathering all her courage, she raced back into the cave.
(view spoiler)
She entered the cave silently and found the beast prowling around. Finding a good hiding spot, she started thinking of all the ways she can get it to tear up. Maybe she could hurt it somehow? But there were two problems with that- one, she didn't know how much pain it would take for tears to appear and two, she wasn't brave or stupid enough to challenge a fully-grown dragon

But suddenly, the dragon looked up and growled(idk can dragons do that). Will my prince still remember me?
Fear grips me as his eyes glare into my soul menacingly. I say a quick prayer that I won't (literally) get roasted.Dear God, I don't want to be s'more :(

Note: This is an experiment, so hopefully it works out or we'll have to remove it
