Play Book Tag discussion

This is the sixth book in the series focused on the Baudelaire orphans as they try to evade Count Olaf whilst rescuing their friends, the Quagmire triplets, who were kidnapped by Count Olaf in the previous book, and are still missing. This book felt a bit of a letdown compared to the previous book. One of the orphans’ guardians seemed kind, if a bit spineless, but the other was seriously unlikeable. But the thing that annoyed me the most about this book was the constant emphasis on what was “IN” versus what was “OUT”. It got very tiring very quickly. Unfortunately, I feel that my enjoyment of the previous book must have been a one-off, as this book made me feel the same way as the initial books in this series. I did mainly pick up these books because of September’s tag, but I’ve decided to remove the remaining books from my TBR, as I’m unlikely to want to return to this series in the future.
