Just got this from Libby and it works for my last Wheel Challenge spin. Is also available on Hoopla Audio. Great timing!
Finished A Killer in King's Cove #1 Lane Winslow. Read on Libby Kindle while listening to Hoopla Audio. Nice narration by Marilla Wex.Rated 3 stars. Enjoyed this and especially liked the setting of post WWII Canada. As I have so many series I've started and not completed I might not continue unless it helps with a Challenge.
I finished A Killer in King's Cove. I will give it 3.3. It is beautifully written, the setting is lovely (rural British Columbia), interesting time period. I like books with strong characters and supporting characters. Our main character, Lane, I was thought was boring. None of the supporting cast did anything for me either. I have a friend who loves this series. I see the following books get good ratings. Maybe if a see the book for free I will pick it up. Overall just okay for me.

I have also finished A Killer in King's Cove. I thought it was okay and interesting enough to keep me reading, but I am not inclined to continue this series.

It is 1946, and war-weary young ex-intelligence officer Lane Winslow leaves London to look for a fresh start. When she finds herself happily settled into a sleepy hamlet in the interior of British Columbia surrounded by a suitably eclectic cast of small-town characters she feels like she may finally be able to put her past to rest.
But then a body is discovered, the victim of murder, and although she works alongside the town’s inspectors Darling and Ames to discover who might have possibly have motivation to kill, she unknowingly casts doubt on herself. As the investigation reveals facts that she has desperately tried to keep a secret, it threatens to pull her into a vortex of even greater losses than the ones she has already endured.
A clever postwar mystery that will appeal to fans the Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear or the Bess Crawford series by Charles Todd.
