We Can Be Heroes discussion

Jace had walked in it. was his second class of the day.

"Oh hey." Jace sat at the desk close to Roan.

"Fine How are you."

"9:15"

"I don't know."

Alex sighed as paperwork was handed to him.

Jace sighed his grade was a wonderful 34%

"34...." Jace sighed, "I fking hate this class{

"Agreed."

Killim was sitting down in his seat, wearing an oversized dinosaur hoodie.

``Ughhhh``

``Finally!`` He said, groaning.

He jumped, venom spitting out of his mouth.

``S-Sorry..``

``I-I cant really help the venom thing...``

``Oh well alright..``

``Bye- i guess``

He sighed, yawning.

Cameron turned to face Luke. “Don’t beat yourself up about it, I got a bit of super speed,” he grinned.

Cameron laughed, a bit out of breath as he looked around for his assigned seat.

Cameron spotted his seat in the back right next to Luke, and he sat.

“Why, because you saw my assigned seat back here?” Cameron teased.

Cameron raised his eyebrows slightly. “Didn’t expect you to admit to it.” Another leaf cascaded to the floor, and he grumbled something about trees being out to get him.

His heart sank. Had he already ruined things again? Cameron shook his head. He should’ve known he was better off alone…he pulled out his journal, not paying attention to class at all

Cameron flipped to another page, done sketching a tree, and somehow found himself starting to sketch Luke and shut his journal quickly, his face turning red hoping no one had seen.

Cameron tapped his pencil on his desk, impatient, and finally the bell rang. He hurried out of class, ready to rip the page out of his journal.

Cameron heard footsteps behind him, and turned to find Luke. “Wanna head to lunch?” He asked, dropping the crumpled, unfinished drawing in the trash can behind him.

Cameron laughed awkwardly. “It’s not important,” he said, grabbing Luke's hand so he wouldn’t get hold of the paper. “Let’s just go,” and then Cameron realized what he’d done.

Cameron's heart skipped a beat, and he began to ramble a mile a minute on him and Luke's way to lunch, trying not to focus on him holding Luke's hand and praying that drawing would stay in the trash…

Cameron looked like a deer in headlights. “No, I mean-sure, whatever-if you want?” He finished weakly.

“It’s not, don’t worry.” Cameron said, letting go of Luke's hand and back tracking, “that thing I threw away…” he pulled out his journal, “um, I like drawing, and I kind of was drawing you.”

Cameron blushed a little. “I drew one when I was in the courtyard and didn’t know who you were yet…I promise it’s not creepy!” He bashfully showed Luke a surprisingly accurate sketch.

Cameron looked at him curiously. “You think it’s…what?”

Cameron nudged Luke's shoulder. “C'mon, don’t be shy,” he teased lightly.

The tips of Cameron's ears turned red, he was at a loss for words. “Thank you,” he said shyly, not sure what else to say. “Do you—do you want to see the rest of it?”

Cameron responded by giving Luke the journal. “Yeah, it’s become kind of like a comfort for me, so maybe it will be for you too. Just a heads up, though—there are a lot of time machines in there,”

He handed Luke a pencil. “You should try drawing.”

Cameron smiled. “I’ll teach you! It’s fun, I promise.”
