Play Book Tag discussion

This is a book of missed opportunities, friendship, setting boundaries, and redemption. The story of Dax and Em's life is told through the anniversary of the day the met. I thought I would hate the style of the story telling, but Nicholls does a great job if telling the present while also keeping you up to date of the years and days past.

Through the first part of the book, I did not connect with Dax at all. I related to Em more, but on the latter part of the book, after Dax settles down, I felt a connection to Dax. He's a character you hate at times, love at times and feel pity for. Em is one you always love but wish so much more for, wishing she saw the great qualities in herself.

A wonderful book that tells a timeless story in a refreshing way.

My wife and I are now watching the Netflix Series

I don't have Netflix so I wasn't aware of it but it's always fun to watch shows based on books we've enjoyed. Another of Nicholls' books I love (5 stars) is: Us.

I am currently reading his You Are Here and really liked the beginning, but it is beginning to flatten out for me. I'm hoping it picks up.
