So, as a few of you know, I LOVE CHAI. Spiced chai to be precise. But I almost never make it.
But I just made myself some pumpkin spice sauce to use in lattes so now I'm needing to make some more chai concentrate so I can make a pumpkin spice chai latte.
I thought i might measure out my spices into little baggies so it's easy to just quick make a batch of chai as the urge strikes. If I'd had a bag of spices I would've quick made some this morning.
So I think I'm gonna make some after work today. And measure out more for easy chai making 😍

I second that!
I think my favorite part is the smell tho. The smell of all things spicy and pumpkiny but also just the smell in the air. It's so delightful

I love flannels. :) And sweaters. The cool weather is the best, especially on windy overcast days. And the leaves haven't started changing colors here yet, but I'm waiting for it.

I'll send you my recipe 😉
I get my spices at a bulk food store because they're fresher than a grocery store would have.

Also, I'm blaming it's being spooky season for my new story idea that's making it impossible to focus on the story I was SUPPOSED to be working on lol.
My favorite things about fall are the changing leaves, pumpkin anything, being able to wear my sweaters again, oh and my boots!
Here:
CHAI TEA CONCENTRATE
6 cinnamon sticks
⅛ tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
15-20 allspice berries
6 T. rooibos tea, or 6 rooibos tea bags (I often substitute English Breakfast tea, any black tea would work)
5 cardamom pods
15 cloves
25 black peppercorns
1 T. vanilla
2 tsp. dried ginger (less if you like it less spicy)
¼ c. sugar (or sweetener of choice)
Gently crack the spices (excluding the cinnamon sticks and ginger).
Then, combine the cracked spices, cinnamon sticks, ginger, tea, and 6 cups of water in a pot. Bring the water to a boil and slowly simmer for 25 minutes. Strain the tea and add vanilla and sweetener. Store in fridge. To serve mix equal parts tea concentrate and milk. It's yummy hot or cold.
You could probably substitute ground spices for any of these but the flavor won't be as vibrant
I'd recommend saving it elsewhere so you don't lose it if you want to use it.

Thanks Bets! I was going to ask for your recipe!I made some chai the other day out of some spices that came premixed ghat someone gave me a while ago. The first time I made it it came out a little weak, so I cut the water content by a third and it came out amazing!! I love the idea for a concentrate though to make a big batch ahead of time. Genius 👌

Well that's why she's coming for them, they need a break and are hiding from her
Today was so lovely, the weather has been so chilly but sunny where I live and I love it! It actually rained today, I made myself a mug cake, watched Over The Garden Wall with my sibs and read The Graveyard book. It was perfect!Fall is my favorite season <3
