Horror Aficionados discussion

One of my friends is a horror fan but its kind of mild violence so I wanna to get her a movie or book for her birthday and I need ideas.

I've read a series of books that is creepy and a bit weird but w/o blood and violence is the Clifton Heights series by Kevin Lucia. It starts with Things Slip Through. Great stories and characters and a very strange town where nothing is as it seems.

Grimm's Fairy Tales is always a great gift for a horror fan since they have so many hardcover editions that make it pop. It's just all the childhood fairy tales (a lot of which became Disney movies) that were originally written which were creepy as hell!
