This is a planning spreadsheet that we are going to use. My thought process in creating this was to make it easy to use and easy for Amanda and I to move books around as needed.
Books are added to the Rd X Books tab. Information added includes Title (with link), Page Count, Author, Main Character, and Narrator Name(s). There is also a column to enter the Publish Date to be able to calculate the points for that.
To place the book on a word, enter the corresponding Code in the Code Column. This will populate the Round X Tab with all the appropriate information to complete the line and help when it comes to moving those to the official spreadsheet. Only Amanda and I have permissions to edit the Round X tab. If you see an issue with information moving onto the Round X Tab, please let me know.
If you don’t like and/or don’t want to use the spreadsheet, feel free to enter a completion post in the thread. Make sure to include:
Title (Linked), Page Count, Author, Main Character, Narrator, Publish Date
It can be added to the spreadsheet by the captains or any other helpful teammate.
Any questions, please ask!

⏰ We'll post all of our claims and completions here.
⏰ FYI - We can only leave 1 word set incomplete...so we'll want to try to complete a set if we possibly can before moving to the next.
Rules & Announcements
⏰Read it carefully, make sure you're getting notifications, and ask here when in doubt!
⏰Only books started after the challenge begins can be used!
⏰Please add the books you've read to your challenge shelf! As captains, we have to verify your books, and this really helps us!
How to post a 'link' on the Planning Spreadsheet
1. Copy the link from Goodreads
a. From Series Page, hover over the Book Title, Right-Click, Copy Link Address
b. From the Book Page, Copy the address bar
2. On the appropriate line on the Planning Spreadsheet
a. Right Click, Insert Link, Paste, Apply
b. Ctrl+K, Paste, Apply

Wake up! It's time for another round of Wheel!
I've added a bunch of links above for your reference and Lisa has added some more information that is very helpful. There's also a planning spreadsheet for us to put books on either that we're planning to read in a round, or you can put it on after you've completed. Lisa is our resident spreadsheet expert so if you're having any issues they can be fixed!
If you're using the planning spreadsheet, please fill out each line with as much info as possible. If you don't like using spreadsheets, you can just make a post in the group. As Lisa outlined above. Please include any information we can use (don't just give one option unless it truly only has one option!)
YOU ONLY HAVE TO DO ONE WAY. You do not have to do both a post and the spreadsheet, I just know not everyone enjoys spreadsheets. Everyone does needs to make sure that all books are on their designated Wheel shelf and has a date read marked
I think that's a good starting point! Other than that we can answer any questions as we go. Please take the time to introduce yourself! Here's some questions you can answer (but feel free to say whatever you'd like)
-General about you (if you're uncomfortable sharing too much information, don't worry!)
-Have you played Wheel before? If so, what's your favorite part?
-Do you have a favorite book that you've read so far this year? (You don't have to answer this one either, it's too hard for me too lol)
-PLEASE LINK to YOUR WHEEL SHELF. It'll make mine and Lisa's lives so much easier

Name's Amanda, I'm a lawyer from Metro Detroit and I live with my husband, our (almost) 14 month old, and our 2 dogs! Reading is my number one hobby so that's pretty much the most interesting thing about me lol, but I'll occasionally get super into jigsaw puzzles as well (luckily you can listen to audiobooks while doing it)
I've played Wheel a number of times! I like that generally you can use any book you've read but also that minis make for some challenges along the way. I think this time around will be interesting with the individual caps!
I cannot pick a favorite, I refuse lol.
And I already linked to my shelf :)

Im Janine from England , i work part time in a coffee shop, and spend most of my spare time reading .. also have 2 grandsons to dote over , do dance, tai chi, volunteer at a food bank , music, bird watching and fostering for RAPCA.
Ive played Wheel before and like the mini challenges best
My shelf is Wheel 24

Oversleeping is an appropriate name for the group...I do it everyday because I stay up too late reading. The kindle has been my downfall, I used to be able to turn off the lights then I couldn't read my book anymore and went to sleep. Not so with a light up screen alas
I am new to this group so I've never done a wheel. I did a few read-a-thons. I wish there was no cap because there are times I can read a lot more (we take off a lot of holidays) and times I'm limited (needing to turn in grades, or essays to grade). I didn't want to commit more than I can do regardless of what's going on at work
I've read a lot of good books this year. A few of the many faves:
Why We Love Baseball
The Beekeeper of Aleppo
There There
This challenge ends on my birthday, let's have a good showing!

I love wheel, mostly the mini challenges and trying to get everything completed.
I'm a Product Manager for a local software company. I've been married for 23 years and my only child turns 20 on Thursday this week! She's currently in college across the border in Wisconsin and has dreams of working for NATO or some other Human Right Organization.
Hubby and I like the casino and doing puzzles. Primary Ravensburger Disney Princess ones since I love princesses. Otherwise, I read...and do spreadsheet.
Excited to get started!

I have participated in Wheel before and have really grown to love these team challenges. They help me hit my reading goals each year and knock out my TBRs.
My fave genres are fiction, romance, and mystery/thriller. I'm a sucker for a good celebrity memoir. I alternate between e-books, audiobooks, and physical books.

One christmas my mom got me a specific puzzle table that is felt lined and I can move around without losing pieces. It's a game changer!
I haven't tried any of those I don't think but I'll have to. I don't know how shipping is to your side of the world but I like using puzzledly.com because they always have crazy sales

I grew up in CA! Lots of great hiking.
This is the first time they're trying out a cap so it'll be interesting!

I thought this said "and try to get everything coordinated" and I was NOT surprised lol

Reading slumps are the WORST! Hopefully this helps you out of it!

Oh my god, we haven't moved the baby out of his floor crib in our room yet and I know it's time because he's better at waking up to alarms than we are and we have to set so many lol

Oh my god Jackie I totally forgot you live in NC!!! I'm so glad to hear you're doing okay (and sorry for just casually talking without checking in on you )

I want to love cooking so bad and I do sometimes and then others it's such a slog lol

That too!!

WE GOT OUR FIRST WORD(S)!
COWORKER FROM HELL"
Do we just type the book(s) we plan to read onto the spreadsheet and someone will decide at the end which letter it is used for? Or do we start "claiming" letters?

WE GOT OUR FIRST WORD(S)!
COWORKER FROM HELL""
You can claim letters by entering the Code on the Books Tab, but just know that based on what else is available, we may have to move to maximize the words completed.

I’m a theatre professor from Urbana, Illinois and I read like it’s my job. I also like to embroider. This is my second time playing Wheel.
My shelf is 24-wheel: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

Our word has 16 letters, so we can only make 5 full.words ( and 5 spare letters)
Am i understanding that correctly.

So total is 145 books
Making 9 words ..plus 1 spare letter

WE GOT OUR FIRST WORD(S)!
COWORKER FROM HELL"
I got one of those right now.
Yay I was able to get a copy of the BOM and added another book I got on loan from Library.

Our word has 16 letters, so we can only make 5 full.words ( and 5 spare letters)
Am i understanding that correctly."
According to the Official spreadsheet that the mods created, our max letters is 139, so 8 words plus 11 letters.
If signed up for less than 10 books, max books is signed up +4. if you signed up for more its signed up x 1.5, but with a max of 30.
The round 1 tab of our Planning spreadsheet has the MAX Allowed books per person.

I'm trying for 250ish pages and older than 2021. That'll get me closer to 30 pts per book.
Over 400 is hard for me.
