I'm loving this one so far! I'm finding Frank really easy to like!

(view spoiler)[ I love Frank's little quips and the moments he thinks about his wife. I found his insistence to pay so uncomfortable lol but I love that the father in law tackled it well.

I'm wondering what's going on with Maggie - why she's suddenly decided to forgive him. I still really wish I knew what happened and can't wait to find out more!

but wow, the new in law family is very worrying. But I can't imagine there is anything they need from Frank - why get Maggie to invite him

and I wonder if he'll be driven to find out more about the missing girl. Maggie's assessment of her mom being a wreck was unfair - the mom is probably a wreck because she can't find her daughter!! (hide spoiler)]

Wow, Frank was a bit much as this event lol
I can't imagine giving up that room either! ugh!!

and yeah, his daughter being the alibi is nerve wracking. can't help but wonder if they are just using her for the alibi
but it seems like Maggie seems to know more than Frank does - and she seems okay with it.

We still don't know why they lost touch
I'm glad Tammy is nice and outgoing - it's a nice touch to Frank's paranoia and grumpiness

I wonder what's up with Gwen. and about Catherine

I was beginning to wonder about Maggie - once Frank's friend said we are biased and never see our kids clearly, I began to wonder if Frank was seeing Maggie clearly. She seems like she's always been one to chase after what she wants.

I'm really sad that Frank just couldn't let things go
but I DO NOT understand why she started talking to her dad again. Why pull Frank into all of this when she had to know he'd sense something was off and would chase it down like he always does. it definitely seems like a part of his personality.

I'm also really sad for Catherine and Aiden. Aiden doesn't seem happy to be marrying her and Catherine is has just been shoved in a corner after she murdered the girl. Ugh

Through Part 4

(view spoiler)[ wow, I never thought Aiden wasn't on board. shocking that he would do something so drastic but he definitely felt stuck.

I'm sad he left his mom. she definitely needs someone to help/save her.

and it's definitely a study of 2 different fathers.
I'm so sad that Frank has been so manipulated by his daughter and that even Tammy saw it but Tammy was okay with it.
Shocking and just gross that Maggie has been okay manipulating everyone in her path and taking what she felt was owed even when it was so disgustingly wrong. She's ruined so many lives just so she could get money and power (hide spoiler)]

Part 1: The invitation. A father, who has been estranged from his daughter for 3 years gets a a call. He worries that something is wrong but soon learns that said daughter is getting married and wants to bury the ill feelings and asks him to attend the wedding. (view spoiler)[ So hubby to be Aiden, comes from a very well off family. Oh, and he's associated with a girl who went missing the previous year. Someone he reportedly was dating. According to the picture and note saying where is Dawn Taggart. I'm intrigued. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ while I liked this one and I'm glad the daughter finally got some consequences for her choices - it wasn't quite the suspense mystery I was hoping for.
I really liked Frank and I found this one ridiculously easy to read. I was a bit frustrated when he wouldn't let things go - because there were definitely some moments when I felt like he trying to save a daughter that didn't want it - after we knew what she did (the fire, lying to the police) it made sense that he was trying to keep her out of trouble again. . .

and wow, maggie was a horrible person. the way she just sat there and casually talked about killing Abigail but that donating to a charity in her name would make it all okay. Jeez. I was glad he stopped it.

good, interesting mystery but I didn't find this one to be a page turner. I wonder if I would have loved it if I'd listened instead of read. (hide spoiler)]

Part II: The arrival. (view spoiler)[ Wow. So much going on and still so many questions. I understand why Frank is suspicious. I'm wondering what the heck is going on and why his daughter seems to be okay with everything. And Aiden, why has he been absent all night. I wouldn't have given up my room, I would have called and had them move us. Daddy long legs or not, I don't want them nesting in the house I'm staying in. Can't wait to see how this all turns out. Part III: The Rehearsal. (view spoiler)[ OMG. So sad to have it confirmed that Maggie was part of it all along. Why did she contact her father. Did she know that he wouldn't suspect something was up and wouldn't let it go? And poor Aiden and Catherine. They are both stuck with what Errol decides is right. What a messed up family. I hope Frank comes out of this alive. (hide spoiler)]

Part IV: The Wedding: (view spoiler)[ OMG, OMG, OMG!! What a sad sad situation. Maggie is definitely a sociopath. But as a parent, what do you do? And Errol, what a terrible human being. So many lives ruined. (hide spoiler)]

and done. (view spoiler)[ Wow. I so glad that Frank was able to recognize the terrible situation he had put Abigail in and that he quickly figured out a possible remedy. I think that he finally realized that the little girl he knew was gone and there wasn't anything he could do to save her from herself. Being a parent though, you always love them, and I think that was evident in the ending. (hide spoiler)]
