Grayson walks into. The cafe and sees you “hi” he says lightly

[he waves back and orders his coffee] “how are you today?” [he says with a gentle smile]

[he grins back] “that’s good, how so?”

[he sees your sigh and gently pats your shoulder] “that sucks I hope you’re feeling okay?”

[now he wraps an arm you and hugs you] “that’s fair” [he says only loud enough for you to hear]

“Oh uh I’m sorry” [he pulls away] “ you seemed a bit sad so it seemed like the right thing to do sorry”

[there’s a beat of not exactly uncomfortable silence but not comfortable] “oh uh my drinks ready, one sec”

[he sits back down across from you] “hi I’m back” [he laughs and gives you his ✨signature smile✨

[he checks his order] “ caramel latte”

“ it’s what I get every time. What about you?”

back// "I just get the normal black coffee"

“Aahh right…I can never drink black coffee” [he laughs]

"when you work hours on hours a day you just don't care what coffee you drink... as long as it keeps you going"

“Aahhh true”

[Angelica sighs] " I am so tired of this "

[he looks at you, waiting to hear more]

[Angelica looks too afraid to talk about it]

“Hey uh I just got a new job soo yeah”[he attempts to lighten the mood]

"hm? what's your new job?"

“I’m the new coach for the junior swim team at my college. So now I’ll permanently smell of chlorine, since I both and coach at the pool” [he chuckles]

"ha! at least you wont have to smell blood all day" [Angelica chuckles at the dark joke]

[he smiles] “well at least there’s that”

[Angelica mumbles] "I should get going"

“Oh ok, bye” [he waves]

[Angelica leaves]

[a couple minutes later Grayson leaves]

[grayson enters the cafe looking slightly distressed] [he orders his coffee]

[angelica is there sipping coffee]

[he sees Angelica and smiles politely and waves]

[angelica returns the greeting]

[grayson sits at a table near angelica and starts to read his book]

[angelica sips her coffee]

[grayson sips his coffee] [he’s trying Angelica’s black coffee order]

[angelica yawns....extremely tired]

“Overnight?” [he asks]

"yep...and you?"

“These kids are going to be the death of me.”[he softly smiles]

"there is a mafia around here now...i told by the police"

“A mafia? Shit”

"mhm....its not good at all"

“No it’s not, do the police know which area of town?”

"no they do not"

“Oh ok” [he dips his coffee]

[angelica sighs]

[grayson slowly goes back to his book]
