Stop at chapter 4 !! (You can read ahead but don’t spoil anything, like don’t talk about something that happened in chapter 5)

-Percy liking October is so real, RR describing Central Park felt so atmospheric I wanted to be there

-Percy hating Hera is valid, I do too

-I was laughing and crying at the same time when I read that Percy could’ve gotten cupcakes and waterskied 😭✋

-The Cracked Teapot sounded so cozy

-I CAN’T WAIT FOR A WHOLE ENTIRE ANNABETH WEEK !!!

The next one is a HoO spoiler, but you got to read HoO before COTG and WOTG anyways

-Dave and Hana are so like ewwwww about Percy but they don’t know that Percy literally fell into Tartarus for Annabeth that’s what she sees in him

My notes:

- I can’t believe he’s off to collage…(Percy is getting too old too fast😭)
- I loved this book, but I think the plot is kinda forced.
-I wish I lived near a cafe that’s named ‘The cracked teapot’
- I think Hecate is pretty chill, tbh

- I LOVE GALE AND HECUBA!!! (Hecate’s hellhound and polecat)
- Percy mention that he, Grover and Annabeth is Athena haters (maybe later in the book idk) and I don’t really hate her.. I grew up reading PJO and thinking that Athena was one of the best gods(unpopular opinion)

-I’d trade my life for being a demigod. Can someone please come and knock on my door, say “Hello (my full name), you need to come with me. They’re after you. (I’ll even pay you..)

Yeah, the plot is forced since this book and COTG is low stakes, but at least it’s more percabeth content 🤷🏻‍♀️ ‘senior year adventures’ is a money grab

Athena is one of my fave goods in Greek mythology (I’m in her cabin), but in HoO she was NOT it

Mr D not allowing them to do a haunted house a camp is very much a "yeah he would do that" moment. Although I did think that was a bit of an unnecessary thing to add? they already had Hecate coming back for a make-sure-everything's-good deadline ... but idk maybe it'll be important later?

No but fr a haunted house at camp would be sooo fun!!

A haunted house would be fun, but I feel like the haunted house might be important to the plot some how, like it might mess smth up

- so happy we get more Hecate book time! Like she was in HOO for like a chapter

- also loved how Annabeth was so excited for the Halloween haunted house
- Percy getting jealous of Annabeth was so cute

Poor Percy. Could have gone water skiing

It’s so out of character for Annabeth to throw a party especially when it’s with a goddesses building.

You guys remember Hecate being in HoO?

Never able to do a haunted house at camp because Mr. D gets mad at them or do it in a creepy mansion with a goddess that can incinerate them. Did I mention her pets aren’t just normal dogs?

@noah I was literally crying reading that he could’ve gone waterskiing and get cupcakes. And it did seem out of character for Annabeth to do that !! Yes I do remember Hecate. She told Hazel to practice manipulating the mist
