That's a lovely, descriptive poem of this time of year. Thanks for starting our month off so wonderfully, Magdelanye.
thanks Petralets aim for wonderful.
I have been to the library! Got 3 books, 2 fiction by authors I have liked a lot, Alicia Elliott and Xochitl Gonzalez and one nf by Marilynne Robinson. Until i get my own place I have to really disciline myself.
so whats up with our little group?I am missing you
One good thing to share: Anne Michaels won the Booker for her recent publication 'held'
As soon as I read about it I raced to my library page and put a hold on ir and lo! it was available. It's not an easy read and requires a readers alert attention but I loved it.
Amazing a book like this gets the recognition it deserves
well, I'm not sure how wonderful November was but finally at the last minute I managed to manifest, if only for a limited time, my dream cottage by the sea. Setting new patterns for my time here. Instead of going back to bed with my tea and a book, I dress warm and take my tea to the beach to wait for the sunrise. Now THIS feels like vacation!
That sounds lovely, Magdelanye! I hope you can stay in the cottage for months to come. What a lovely way to start each day. My dream property would have an ocean view. Access to a beach would be a big bonus.
Magdelanye wrote: "nice to hear from you Petra! This is a winter short-term rental until April 1"I'm around, but not reading much so I've got little to post.
You've got a snug little cottage by the sea for the winter. What a treat. Enjoy every day there.

Hold off the snow and ice
The last blazing leaves
falling from the trees
add colour and spice
to dreary days
we find ways
as it gets colder and
winter gets bolder
to stay warm with family and friends
reading until winter ends
