I'm so sad that October has come to an end but at least we still have the upcoming holidays to look forward to for those of us that celebrate. I know the end of the year is upon us but don't give up on those reading goals- there is still time to squeeze in a lot of things we still want to get read before the end of the year 🫶🏻 I rolled five prompts this round and I think they're pretty fun ones!

The Prompts

Spin #1

Spin #2

✦ Go to your "to read" shelf and choose a book between #111-120.

Spin #3

✦ Each of us mods has a favorites shelf on our Goodreads page for you to choose books from. If there is nothing there that interests you just reach out to one of us and we will recommend you something else!

Spin #4

✦ This one is simple, find a book with any type of punctuation in the title: ? ! , and in a pinch I'll also accept ' - &.

Spin #5

✦ This is your chance to read those books you picked up at a consignment shop or library sale... and yes, free also counts!

Nat (waterfallz) | 658 comments My TBR for the month:
1. Roll a die for a genre (memoir) The House of Hidden Meanings
2. Choose a book from your GR TBR: #114 Rebecca
3. Choose a book from a mod's favorite's shelf (I went with Summer because we have pretty similar tastes) A Man Called Ove (it also worked out that this has been in my want to read shelf for a while, and was available through my library)
4. Punctuation in the title Love, Theoretically
5. Paid less than $5 for Just Listen
The House of Hidden Meanings by RuPaul Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood Just Listen by Sarah Dessen

Oh I hope you get to A Man Called Ove! It’s so so good! Then maybe watch the adaption with Tom hanks if you haven’t seen it. As it usually goes it isn’t as good as the book but it’s still a good watch!

I'm counting November a success- I finished all but one book and I'm nearly done with the one I didn't finish!

My TBR:

1. Roll die/genre (dark academia): An Academy for Liars
2. GR TBR #111-120: The Boneless Mercies (CR)
3. A MODs favorite (Amanda): Tender Is the Flesh
4. Punctuation in the title: You, Again
5. Paid < $5: Sugaring Off

An Academy for Liars by Alexis Henderson The Boneless Mercies by April Genevieve Tucholke Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica You, Again by Kate Goldbeck Sugaring Off by Gillian French

This month was interesting. I finished A Man Called Ove and Rebecca, both of which I enjoyed. I began Just Listen, but won't be able to finish it until after finals in December. I have Love, Theoretically and The House of Hidden Meanings out from the library and haven't started them, but hopefully can finish them in early December.
I'm counting this month as a win in my book :)

I'm so upset with my last few months of reading, I didn't get a SINGLE book done in November, I refuse to let this happen again!
