I won't be re-reading this book this month, because I read it earlier this year. But I love it, and I personally like the second one even better.

I CRIED (AND HARD) TWICE ONE RIGHT AFTER THE OTHER. these are the kinds it books i love! i want to FEEL the story. and now i cannot even believe that ending. 😳

i make it a habit of avoiding reading much about a book before i dive in so i’m not overhyped leading to disappointment because i KNOW i do this to myself irl.

so far, loving the botms mods!

Chapter 7
(view spoiler)[I really love the characters, they're so fleshed out and it's easy to relate to them. I am reading this in my second language so this takes a bit longer to read. Or maybe it's the genre, all those myths are still a bit unclear to me. I love that they use typing machines XD I am curious to see how Roman is going to tell Iris that it's him behind those letters. It's a bit unfair situation, even though I am glad that he finally told her how someone else was getting her letters. I wonder if Iris is going to take that new job available, on the war front. They both have dysfunctional families and I feel for them. Those monsters sounds creepy and I hope Forest is okay and is able to come back home at some point. I knew the doctor's daughter was there for that reason, for marriage xD (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 8
(view spoiler)[I don't know why she's helping him like this - telling about her brother so that he can write a better article. I am happy that she got to know about facts behind his engagement this quick. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 9
(view spoiler)[I loved how they opened up to each other. It really is hard to let others see your trueself.

Chapter 11
(view spoiler)[Her mother died O.O But it felt a bit unbelievable that she just went there to recognise the body. I think we want to deny unpleasant things as long as possible and I would have went home and checked the bedroom before bothering the police. What if it would have been someone else's body? I wouldn't have taken the risk. I recently lost my beloved dog and went through (and maybe still am) the sorrow. So her feelings about Roman seeing her flat didn't feel relatable. It's possible that we experience things differently but when I felt like my world would have ended I couldn't bother more what people thought about me or my surroundings.

Chapter 15
(view spoiler)[So the magic is in their typing machines! Roman tried to get his freedom but through the marriage they'll get bombs so he's back to square one. He got the job and Iris started in a new place, exactly like I wondered if she would at some point. I loved one quote and it made me cry!! My own loss is still so fresh.

You will learn to live outside of it again, as impossible as that may sound. Others who share your pain will also help you heal. Because you are not alone. Chapter 22
(view spoiler)[Iris is now on the warfront. I am curious to see if different creatures are going to play a bigger role at some point. I love their letters. Now Roman knows about typing machines as well. I hope Iris would finally get some information about her brother :( (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I never would have guessed that he would come there! But how he just came to eat the breakfast direct from running. I bet you're sweaty and needing shower after running 7 kilometers... (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 29
(view spoiler)[She was lucky that she had exercised with Roman but doing that a week doesn't do much 😄 It feels a bit awkward that Roman writes like he does and hasn't told her. And teases her about her letters, I feel uncomfortable. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 36
(view spoiler)[They are soon married and finally Iris knows! It took one granate and getting hurt. But I just say that kneeling for watering plants sounds extremely arduous. I would never do that. (hide spoiler)]

Or brother found her xD It was a bit scary first because he was changed so much and acted strangely. But when he told where he had been it made sense. (hide spoiler)]

i loved divine rivals so much i’m so excited to read the next book!! Im not sure why but I put off reading divine rivals so long but ended up loving itt :)

I’m gonna read this book on my road trip next week!

I am currently reading it. the writing is beautiful. I'm not sure if I've read something as good as this one by the modern day authors. about the plot i can't say much yet, as I'm only on chapter 9.

ohmygosh i started yesterdsy and i'm already in love like the plot?? writing style?? characters?? I ADORE ITT the entire vibe of the book is heart breaking && just woah. i cant wait to continue it

Reading it now! Hope it lives up to my expectations! Also if you’ve read the next book in the series, is it worth reading? I have heard many negative comments on it :(
