I am from Columbia, Tennessee. I am a retired ELA Middle School Teacher. I am an insatiable reader. I read 200 books a year. I like Women's fiction, Romcom's, Mysteries, and Historical Fiction. I have been a member of the Key Word Reading Challenge and the Motif Reading Challenge for several years. I hope in 2025 we will still have these challenges.
I post my reads on Goodreads. I create a reading journal each year and record my books, the authors, and ratings.

I'm Nina from Germany, a civil servant with the registry office.

My go-to genres are Romcoms and Thrillers, with a few select detours into Historical Fiction, SciFi and Fantasy.

This will be my second year participating and I've found that the challenge really diversified my reading a lot, rather than just falling back on my go-to crutches time and time again...

In between my full-time job and taking time to actually read eBooks, my reading goal is set at 60 (though I manage more most years) - sadly, upping my goal by listening to a copious amount of audiobooks is out of the question for someone like me who is hard of hearing and dependent on reading lips.

I have neither a book-related Instagram, nor Booktok or the likes and my main dwelling for all things books is right here on GR.

Hello! I’m from Kent, UK, and I’m a proud grandmother to one adorable granddaughter, a Mumsy to two wonderful adult-ish children, and a loving owner of three furry babies.

I’m passionate about reading and usually try to get through at least two books a week, which means I can finish over 100 books a year! Thanks to my love for audiobooks, I’ve been able to surpass this goal for the last three years. However, I’m gearing up for a new adventure in 2025 because I’ll be studying criminology at The Open University. It’s going to be a busy year, but I’m excited about it!

Hi all!
I have introduced myself before, but will add a bit for new challenge readers. I’m from mid-Minnesota, living in a rural area, retired and enjoying that immensely! The best part is it gives me more time to read, often later at night. I tend toward mystery, suspense, thriller, some horror (especially around fall), with some history, historical fiction, adult fiction, with some fantasy and science fiction thrown in. Some of my favorite authors are Karin Slaughter, William Kent Kruger, C.J. Box, Craig Johnson and Allen Eskens. There are many more I follow, but you get the idea. I typically read at least three books a month, including the Key Word and Motif challenges, plus at least one for my book club. I like that the book club books pull me out of my rut of staying in the same genre, everyone needs that.

My reviews will not attempt to re-write the summaries listed elsewhere, I prefer to convey what I liked or didn’t like about the writing overall. I also try very hard not to reveal spoilers or give anything else away, that’s just not fair to potential readers. I also try to be generous with my ratings, recognizing the effort that goes into writing that I lack the talent for. But if it’s really bad, I’ll say so. It’s just not necessary to be cruel to get the point across.

I am excited that recently my husband has gotten into reading more, he generally used to rely mostly on the TV for entertainment. So I’ve been having fun helping him find books that interest him, usually military history based stories. So nice to turn off the TV and just sit and read together!
Looking forward to a new year of challenges, keeps me looking beyond the next in my favorite series when picking a book to read! Thank you to Kimberly and Tanya for keeping this going for us, your efforts in creative plans are much appreciated!

I'm from Kentucky. I love reading and read most anything (though I don't read horror). I also read books set for different ages as it helps me to recommend books to many different people (I work with all ages).
I found this group through a post about the keyword reading challenge of 2024. I actually tried this challenge last year, but did not join the group. Last year, I tried to see how many of the keywords that I could find a mystery title containing the word. I found many which helped with my Medical Examiner Reading Challenge. This year I decided to try joining the group, but not limiting myself to just mysteries.
I don't post anywhere else, though I occasionally review on bookbub.

This is my second time joining the challenges. I'm in Ohio. and an avid reader, although I only manage about 50 books a year. I read just about anything, particularly enjoy Historical Fiction, Women's Fiction, Young Adult, Mysteries and books that are movies. I have a huge TBR (to be read) list on Kindle and also do the Mount TBR challenges on Goodreads as well.

Hi - This is my first time joining your challenge. I have done other Monthly keyword challenges before but I guess it wasn't one of yours. Actually found yours when I was looking for clarity on the list that I have for 2025 and came across your group/listing. Still not sure where I got the other one from LOL but will add your list to my mix.
I am getting back into doing challenges after taking a couple years off (was getting too stressed out in completing challenges and doing too many challenges)
Anyway - I am living in Alabama but a northerner in my heart. I read mostly mystery and fantasy. I try to throw in a few non fictions to just break things up. I am down to about 50 books a year from 100. Doing more audio books than others because I am in the car 25-30 minutes to get to work

I like many different genres, Fantasy, Historical Romance, Mystery, and even RomComs. I will attempt to read just about anything, it might end up in my DNR list but I will try. :)

Hey y’all! I live in central Arkansas (born & raised) with my best friend & our precious 4-year-old daughter who keeps us on our toes. I work for Child Protective Services so reading is definitely my go-to escape from reality! Psychological/suspense thrillers are my favorite but I do enjoy anything with a mystery and/or romantic element to it. I’ve been an avid reader for most of my life but of course adulthood shortened my reading time. I’ve been picking the pace back up over the last few years - aka staying up way too late to read “just one more chapter.” In 2022 I committed to a goal of 52 books for year (one a week) & read almost 100 books so my yearly goal since then has been 104 (two a week). I haven’t quite met that goal yet but I have a good feeling about this year! I found this challenge & group when I googling 2026 book challenges after seeing a challenge template on Facebook that my phone wouldn’t let me click on. 🤣 I’m super excited for this challenge because I have way too many books on my want to read list & always struggle with picking what to read next!
