Backstory:
Ellowyn had never done anything like this before. she still couldn't believe that she was doing this. It went against everything that had been instilled in her all her life. To stay. To obey. Do as she was told. Yet she had always wanted more. Wanted to see the world. So that night Ellowyn crept towards the west side of the university and when the coast was clear she left the school she had known for so long, even more than her family home, and headed off into the dimly lot streets of Celesthold. Ellowyn's feelings were a mixture of excitement and anxiousness. She had started to wonder if she had gone the wrong way when she finally spotted a tavern up ahead.
It's just for tonight.
One night.
After that she'd return and life would go back to its normal routine. Entering the Axe and Ale Ellowyn looked around. A few looked her way when she first came in before going back to what they were originally doing, others didn't even bother. A bit unsure of herself she took a seat up at the bar.
"What can I get for you this evening?" The bartender asks her.
"Um, just a water please. Thank you." Ellowyn tells him. The large half orc snorts at her choice but gets her what she asked for.
"How much?" Ellowyn asks, reaching towards her coin purse.
"It's on the house." He tells her, before looking bored and returning back to cleaning some mugs.
"Thank you." Ellowyn responds gratefully but he doesn't say anything further. Just when she thought she'd be alone for awhile, or possibly indefinitely, a Tiefling smiles as he takes a seat beside her.
"Well now. I don't believe I've seen the likes of you around here before. Are you lost sweet thing?" He asks her curiously. "My name is Kylan. What's yours?" Kylan adds, flashing her the pearliest of smiles.
"Nice to meet you Kylan, I'm Ellowyn and no, I don't believe myself to be lost." Ellowyn wished she sounded more sure. Ellowyn feels heat come to her cheeks from his words. This was her first tavern experience, and while exciting she wondered if they were all like this.
"It's certainly a pleasure to meet you Ellowyn. Anything in particular that you're looking for?" Kylan asks her as he sees her looking around. "Careful, people might think you're spying on them if you look too closely. At the Axe and Ale that's one of the last things that you want." Kylan tells her in a lowered voice that instantly brings Ellowyn's attention back to him. "Don't get too worried, Brosk is quick to break up any fight in his tavern. Speaking of you should really try his cooking. The ale here may taste like piss but what people really come here for is Brosk's cooking." Kylan reassures Ellowyn after her obvious worry. Gesturing over towards the half orc bartender who must be Brosk.
((Yay! People are interested! Success!! lol! And Thanks! 😊 I was thinking of doing the same in the Detailed Roleplayers group and one other 1x1 group but looking at them they don't look very active anymore in comparison so I don't know if anything will come of it.))
Appearance: Victor was a tall muscular fellow with blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. He was wearing an animal skin jacket and long cotton pants. His face was clean shaven.
Personality: He is gruff and mysterious. Keeps his past and desires a secret.
Gender: Male
Age: 27
History: unkown
Sexuality: Straight
Relationship Status: he has a lover who he sends letters to.
Transformation: He turns into a werewolf with crystal blue eyes and blond fur. He stands at 8 feet tall and is very strong.
Species: Werewolf
Job/cover: he is a bounty hunter
Everyone's coin was welcome here. Didn't matter how or where you came by getting it. Brosk was far from one to judge. Though he noted how the silver lightly sizzled in the man's palm before it landed on the counter. Werewolf. Never one to disappoint a paying customer Brosk pours the man a tankard of the strongest ale his tavern served before heading to the back and shortly returning with that week's special. Vegetable beef and barley stew with a side of bread. Brosk placing it in front of the man before taking up his offered coin. Brosk might not serve the most well respected of the community but that mattered not at all to him. Everyone needed to eat and everyone certainly deserves a good tankard of ale to warm the belly. Of course Ellowyn couldn't help but look curiously at the Axe and Ale's newest customer. "Can't help yourself can you?" Kylan playfully asks her before getting a bit more serious. "Gorgeous face, even I'll admit, but that's definitely one face I wouldn't want looking my way and you shouldn't either." Kylan gets closer to her ear to deliver his sound advice. Kylan just hoped there weren't any wanted posters of yours truly out there. If there were Kylan hoped the bounty would be too low to interest any bounty hunter. He also would prefer if his poster wanted him alive. "A man like that is only interested in someone if he wants their head for a bounty." Hoping he got the point across to the clearly newly initiated Kylan again tried to lighten his tone. "I'm sure he has muscles for days underneath those clothes." Kylan couldn't help but find Ellowyn's blushing amusing. While Kylan smiled he thought on those muscles, hoping it would cause people just like that man to get stuck more often than not and lose their target. Smartly Kylan kept his eyes averted and Ellowyn smartly looked away as well after his warning.
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Class/Job: Assassin/bounty hunter
Weapon of choice: Throwing knives, daggers, the darkness and silence
Appearance: https://i.pinimg.com/564x/ac/6d/ba/ac...
https://i.pinimg.com/564x/36/27/ac/36...
Tall, dark hair, brooding, and while on the inside he's kind of a cinnamon roll he will kill you if you are on his bad side. Loves to drink and probably won't let you see his soft side since he's had an awful, or lack of, upbringing and has built a heavy wall around himself to hide the trauma and keep out intruders))
Kylan can't help but snort at the hunter's response. "Aren't you lot always on the clock?" Kylan's disdain evident. "Besides what better way would you describe yourself to the ill informed?" Ellowyn's attention returns to the new current discussion after her attention had been drawn to yet another man who looked up to no good. Not that Ellowyn seemed phased in the least. Giving the man who'd addressed Kylan a smile.
"Hello, I'm Ellowyn. It's a pleasure to meet you." She addresses him with a small bow of her head.
"Don't give him your name. He was just being sarcastic." It was dangerous to give a man like this your name. It was clear sarcasm was lost on Ellowyn.
"Kylan." She says looking towards him before back at the hunter. Clearly expecting him to be polite for some unknown reason. Somehow winning him over with that look of hers Kylan, despite his better judgement, gives it his best effort.
"Yeah yeah, nice to meet you. Don't suppose you got some coin to spare for a poor Tiefling like myself do ya?" Kylan asks, a bit of that charming smile coming back. While Ellowyn was clearly much too friendly with strangers Kylan felt sure he knew how to make this man bugger off.
((No. Just figured Athalos might give his two cents as far as a reaction goes to give him a turn. Figured he was more lonerish than confrontational. Doesn't mean he can't have some thoughts. lol! Just trying to let you get a turn in. ;) ))
"So intimidating there." Admittedly Victor was a bit intimidating but Kylan was good at playing things off otherwise."Yeah well, don't think too hard on that name now. Wouldn't want to overwork yourself while off the clock." Kylan teases while not wanting to let Victor sour his fun. Of course Ellowyn gave Victor a friendly smile. It gave Kylan a bit of an idea. He couldn't steal from Ellowyn, currently with Victor's eyes on him he couldn't loosen anyone's coin purses. What he could do though was provide himself with some entertainment and Ellowyn seemed like just the type of person who could do so.
"Ellowyn, since you seem to want to make some friends why don't you try to go cheer grumpy up in the corner over there?" Kylan suggests if the man that had just come in. Kylan didn't know if Ellowyn had any issues with the law but all the same it would do them both good to make Victor's job harder when it came to looking at them if they were in two different spots. In the end Ellowyn could choose to do what she wanted. Kylan made his way like a slippery eel closer towards the opposite corner of the bar by Brosk.
At Kylan's suggestion Ellowyn looks again towards the newest man that had come in who had gotten his food and drink and immediately sat alone in a corner. Kylan's words almost like a challenge given her shy but hopeful nature. The man did look rather lonely. When Kylan abruptly left her side it was clear he was trying to actively distance himself from Victor. It gave Ellowyn the feeling that Kylan likely recognized the name. "Should everyone be so scared of you?" Ellowyn asks Victor curiously. Clearly not scared of him at all herself.
So far, he'd kept an eye on the group of three that bantered back and forth. He sipped his ale, seemingly irritated that it was watered down, and otherwise remained still. He was almost a shadow himself, blending into the corner.

Suyn was with a group of friends wanting to go out and drink, obviously Suyn isn't huge on going to bars. They began to drag him to a bar that is only just down the street. He knew there was no way out of this so he accepted fate, wishing he was home reading his dark romance books. Suyn looked around, a lot of men and women. Damn, they are all handsome and beautiful. Suyn quit his 40 second stare session and actually found a spot to sit at with his friends. As he realized how much people were actually here his anxiety went sky rocket. He began to fidget with his fingers as he listened to conversations around him. His friends looked like they were having fun, which made him smile. Suyn looked beside him, he saw a lot of people chugging drinks. He always wondered how they do it, he's never personally tried a drink himself. It's just he can't see himself ruining his body.
(sorry for the short response, goodreads make me think i write a lot until i actually send it LOL. once i get more into it, ill become more detailed<3)
"Yeah well, don't think too hard on that name now. Wouldn't want to overwork yo..."
Victor turned to Ellowyn as Kylan walked away and Ellowyn asked her question to him. She did not seem afraid of him but she did also seem naive. So he decided she didn't need to be afraid of him. "No not everyone needs to be afraid of me. Just the jerks that need to be put in their place. I'd be careful if I were you, Kylan is trouble. He is known to be a petty thief. Make sure you have everything you came here with before you leave." He said giving the side eye to the man he didn't trust. Though his bounty wasn't high enough to for the trouble unless he got stolen from too. Victor then turned to leave the half elf and return to his meal and ale.
Ellowyn supposed that was fair. For any type of criminal, men like Victor were not people to be fooled around with. Yet both had a reason for why they had chosen the path they had. Ellowyn refused to see anyone as all bad. At the same time she wasn't so sure that there was such a thing as being all good either. "Thank you for your concern." Ellowyn watches Victor depart back to where he'd left his food and drink. It really has been nice meeting him. Both of them. The thought leading Ellowyn's gaze back to the man Kylan had tried to convince her to go talk to. Well why not try? Ellowyn got up and made her way slowly over towards the back table. The man sitting there with his back to the wall had the vantage point of the whole tavern so even if Ellowyn hadn't been directly headed that way he would have easily seen her and anyone else for that matter, easily enough. "Hello, I'm Ellowyn. Do you mind if I sit down with you?" Ellowyn asks sweet and sincere. (Towards Athalos)"Hey. If that goes badly you're going to be the one getting her out of it." Brosk warns Kylan when Ellowyn actually does start walking towards the lone man in the corner. Kylan rolled his eyes. Really? As comical as he thought the scene looked really Kylan didn't see how anything truly awful could come of it. More than likely the man would just tell her to leave him alone. It wasn't as if he'd dared her to kiss him. Kylan could already tell Ellowyn wasn't the type do something like that. No matter how much more entertaining it would have been to watch. Oh well. Spotting a group of friends enter Kylan waits until they sit down and had some drinks before putting that charming smile of his on. "Anyone up for a game of cards?" Kylan asks them, noting that one of the group wasn't quite like the others. He had drank at all yet. How interesting. (Towards Suyn)
(( my character is in the character thread)) The sky had already dimmed to twilight as Elizabeth Asher approached the Axe and Ale, a ramshackle tavern crouched at the edge of Celesthold. Its exterior was plain but sturdy, built from thick beams of dark wood and battered by the elements, with a painted sign swinging from a rusty chain overhead. The faded image of an axe and a frothing tankard was barely visible in the dying light, but the warm glow spilling out from the windows and the faint buzz of chatter drew her in.
Elizabeth pushed the door open, feeling the subtle weight of gazes flicker toward her before the patrons turned back to their drinks. It was the sort of place where most people kept to themselves, hunched over their mugs or clustered in tight groups at worn wooden tables. Her kind of place.
She scanned the room, noting the exits automatically—a habit she’d picked up since the night her family was attacked. The firelight flickered across the dimly lit room, casting dancing shadows over the rough-hewn walls. She pulled her hood down—freeing her red hair—and let the warmth of the room settle over her, the smell of smoke and ale mixing with a faint tang of something she couldn’t quite place. The low hum of conversations, the clinking of mugs, and the occasional burst of laughter provided a background rhythm that soothed her in a way she couldn’t quite explain.
Elizabeth made her way to the corner of the bar, one that gave her a clear view of the entrance and a bit of privacy. After a long day of hunting and selling her catches, Elizabeth found herself hungry and tired. Left with a few coins from the day, she decided she could spare some for a warm meal.
As Elizabeth settled into the creaky chair, she let herself sink back into the shadows of the corner, content to go unnoticed. The tavern was alive with noise—boisterous laughter, clinking mugs, the scrape of chairs against wood—but nobody seemed to pay her any mind. Her stomach gave a low, insistent rumble, and she pressed a hand to it, relieved the sound was lost in the constant murmur of voices. Her gaze drifted over the room. Rough-looking patrons filled the space, the kind she could imagine carrying all manner of scars beneath their dirt-streaked clothes and worn leather boots. Mercenaries, hunters, traders, each lost in their own troubles or pleasures. None of them looked her way, and she preferred it that way. She wasn’t here to talk. She was here to vanish into the backdrop, to find some small comfort in a meal, and maybe—just maybe—quiet the restless energy that had haunted her since arriving in Celesthold.
The memories had been hitting her harder lately, catching her off guard in moments of quiet. Images of fire and blood, of the family she’d lost, flashing in her mind without mercy. The tension in her chest tightened just thinking about it, her fists clenching slightly on the table.
She glanced toward the bar, where a worker was idly drying mugs, lost in his own world. Elizabeth raised her hand, fingers flicking in a silent gesture to catch his attention. She didn’t want to call out—she just wanted to eat, drink, and forget. At least for tonight. (Towards Alexander)
((Makes sense. Thanks for warning us Queen. And thanks bunny ♡ that means so much. I get carried away with details and what not once I start typing lol. Also, I’ll probably fall asleep now so I’ll get my post up tomorrow, which hopefully by then the others would have replied too))
(goosh, im detailed but not on this level yet!) (someone mind givin sum tips?)
He saw both of his friends now being served drinks, he decided to keep an eye on them. Suyn was sitting in the back of the bar, not very lit and free of space. He slid an old book from his bag that he had placed on the table earlier. A book he had always read, a pretty old one. He was introduced to this book back in middle school.
Suyn finished a chapter of the book, now placing it back in his bag. He finally decided to stand up, Suyn stretched a little before making his way towards his friends. "You guys should cool down on the drinking.." His voice was quiet but yet firm. His friends just gave him the cold shoulder, so he backed off waiting for them to get done and start leaving.
Suyn sat at the table with them, he began to listen in on a few conversations. Some were interesting and others were immature men trying to get with women. Simply, he couldn't lie to himself there were a few attractive women and men here. Suyn still didn't know the point of coming to a bar, or even drinking in general.
(( awe thanks. Honestly I guess it’s because I’ve been in a lot of advanced groups and just picked it up. I like to describe mostly everything in what I write. I think I read somewhere someone said don’t tell, show)) Elizabeth watched as the young man navigated the crowded tavern, weaving skillfully through drunken patrons and sidestepping with practiced ease, all while balancing trays laden with mugs that sloshed with what was undoubtedly ale. She noted how he paused now and then to serve others on his path, his movements efficient and deliberate. When he finally reached her, she appreciated the way he carried himself—respectful, yet not overly formal. She offered him a polite smile and a small incline of her head in acknowledgment.
Pulling four silver coins from her pouch, Elizabeth let them rest in her palm for a moment, their cool weight grounding her. She studied them briefly before looking up to meet his gaze. “What can this get me to eat?” she asked, her tone steady but tinged with a faint hope that it might be enough.

As this is open to anyone who wants to join all you have to do is post your character(Please no over powered characters. Imperfect flawed characters are fun too. ;) ), read previous posts before posting and just have fun.
Respectfully depending on how many people come on board please give others a chance to respond. If they've said they'll be away awhile or aren't active in three days I'd say their turn can be skipped and it'll be on them to catch up if they return.
Obviously at the start it'll just be my posts until someone joins in with me. If not I'll just be writing a story by myself that maybe others will get a kick out of. lol!
Now about the RP: It's a Fantasy/Medieval. At the start characters will be meeting at a Tavern called the Axe and Ale at the outskirts of the city of Celesthold.
So please feel free to come join me and my characters and have some fun! I will title it Free RP! Also feel free to do your character description however you want.
Note: This will also be the first comment of the RP as well just in case this one isn't seen.
