Timekeeper is the first of three books by Tara Sim taking place in 1875 Victorian England. Danny, age 17, is the youngest mechanic. A mechanic is someone who maintains and repairs the clocks in clock towers. In this alternate universe these clocks regulate time and faulty clocks make those areas "wobble" the time continuum. If the clock stops working the entire area is frozen in time. Each clock tower has a clock spirit who controls the clock. In book one there are bombs going off in and around the towers and Danny tries to find out what's going on. There is also a side romance too.

The book started off interesting and different than anything I've read, but the longer the story went on the more it dragged with not a whole lot happening. The book was ok and I won't be reading any of the others. This wasn't a favorite tag of mine.
