so are you looking for audiobooks or you needed an expert to help you on that?
Hi Lovelyn! I could use some advice on audiobooks if you are willing! Cheapest plans and platform and whatever advice you may have!
I've tried Ninth House and I absolutely loved the narrator, I'm now trying Cruel Prince and I'm not loving her voice too much (I'm starting from books I've already read so if I get distracted and miss a tiny bit it's not too stressful)

Thanks! Is audible like KU or do you get to keep the audiobooks after? Thanks also for the recs! :)
Well...I have audible. I have a plan where I get a credit every three months. And I have some unspent ATM.
They are both Amazon, and I think they are similar. With Kindle Unlimited, I think you get to read any book you want, so long as there is a kindle edition, and the Author has put their book into the Kindle Select program. Otherwise, they are just generally cheaper. People in Kindle Select get paid by number of pages read, which equates to something like $.02 per five pages or so, from collective collection of the subscription fee.
With Audible, I would get credits which I can use in lieu of paying for a book, but not every book is free. If some are listed for free, then those are free to take.
PS: I both hate writing and reading battles. Mostly, the blow by blow does not matter, and only the outcome is story relevant. But...sometimes they cant be helped. For myself, I try to use battles to show things about the characters, and as the story gets deeper in, I can get away with skipping to the end more, as the characters are more known quantities.

Thank you P. Pherson, sorry I only reply now, but I don't understand the logic behind what group post notifications I get ad what not, and I didn't get this one.
I was comparing it to KU in the meaning that I don't get to keep the book with KU if I cancel the subscription or return it to get others. With audible do you get to keep the books you get with credits or do you have to return them?
I'm very much with you on the battle comment as well. They are necessary but it's the most boring part for me, and sometimes I try to speed through them somehow, not paying as much attention as I do to the before and after :)

Thanks that was what I needed to know. If it was rent like KU or purchase. :) for the limits I saw, I'm glad it's indeed purchase and not rent.
I read about 100 books per year, mostly on Kindle, and like to buy phisical copies of those I like the most.
I'm only recently trying out audiobooks as I've a lot of problems focusing on them without spacing out and having to rewind all the time. I'm now trying them as way to bring books when I venture in the outside world on walks :D it's going OK if nothing catches my attention ;)
My main genres are fantasy and scifi (of course), and I could read horror and thrillers but I often don't know how to pick ones that will not disappoint. I don't have the patience for biographies.
I try to alternate books by male and female hands, as they tend to have different touches to the stories (please I hope this comment is not perceived as sexist or anything) as a general rule.
My favourite thropes and genres are: Enemy to lovers for romantasy, academia for anything, progression fantasy, character driven books more than plot driven books. I get a bit bored with action and war scenes (I know I'm weird), but not by books who have them in it. I'm not often put off by a spoiler (I like to see how things happen) unless it's a very undesirable outcome for me that would make me stop reading anyway.
I think this was pretty thorough :D
Nice to meet you all,
Morwen
