Squire (srboone) | 89 comments "Think twice before speaking once," was a lesson my father taught me. He also taught me that reading would give me the vocabulary to express myself better.

I learned the hard way that sometimes you should think three or more times before responding, especially when thinking about using those words I knew the person wouldn't understand.

"I defenestrated that a long time ago," is still one of my favorite sayings. "Defenestrate" (and its conjugates) is my favorite word in the English language.

Thats a new word for me :) Had to look it up.

It's worth an extra 1/2 star rating when used in the book I'm reading (only happened twice, tho--it's not used enough!))
