Jen K | 3197 comments When a man disappears at an outer station and the trail leads to her former university and girlfriend, Investigator Mossa seems hopeful to reconnect. Pleiti is an official classical scholar now working on an effort to understand the ecosystems that were once on Earth in the hopes that someday humanity could recreate another Earth. Pulled into the investigation by Mossa, Pleiti finds herself reintroduced to the bigger questions of modern society rather than her books and research and questioning more.

I really liked Pleiti and Mossa and how they worked together on the investigation. I realize that it was just a novella but I would have liked a bit more. I would read more of the series and learn more of the world and Pleiti and Mossa.

Steeplechase: Adventure x 6; Steampunk x 7
BWF Tenacious Trailblazers: Letter M

I was probably the most tepid on it in Feminerdy - for me the detective story side was weak, but then most of the other members read very little crime fiction, being very intent on SFF.

Jen K | 3197 comments I would agree that the detective story was weak. It just felt a bit incomplete but it had a good start so I am interested in going deeper.
