The Bookworm Challenge discussion

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Does anybody else love choosing the new Bookworm Challenge topics? Well, it's that time again.

Please post your 2025 ideas for the following:

- Our 12 main challenges
- Secondary point challenge (this year's is the BINGO card)
- Non-point challenge (currently publication years)
- Monthly specials

If you have any thoughts about the groups as a whole, post it here as well and it can be discussed.

I love our old favorites, but don't be afraid to suggest something new and unusual.

For the no point challenge I suggest books set in different countries. How many different countries can we get?

For BINGO or whatever we have next year:
Book set in Japan
Classic mystery (pub. before 1950)
Gothic book
Time Travel
Book told from an animal's POV

Monthly Challenges:
I only have one:
First books in a series

Here's what I thought of to be used for main 12, secondary, or monthly (however you see fit):
- Color in the title
- Books from the year you were born
- Books made into a movie or TV show
- Books with a person's name in the title
- Books with a place in the title
- Books with a plant or flower in the title
- Historical Fiction
- A sequel (Book #2 in a series)
- Author with the same name as you (First or Last)
- Set during a holiday


I liked Wanda's old tried and true ideas:

The mini-book chain is always a favorite of mine.

* "Culinary Delights": Plot revolves around food, a restaurant, or has food on the cover

* "Series-ously": Read any book a part of a series
* Awards: Read a book that has an award listed on its Goodreads Main Page
* Romantasy genre
