Not a biggie on CIA, sabotage or espionage but I jsut got this book. It is short, so hopefully I can get thru it.
Looks like a good movie, Sandi. I will skip the book and wait for it to come to my TV.

When Charlie Heller’s fiancée is held hostage and killed by terrorists, he decides to take the matter of revenge into his own hands. A plot-driven spy thriller, The Amateur takes Charlie behind the Iron Curtain and to the underbelly of the CIA, where a double agent wants him dead. Made into a movie starring Christopher Plummer in 1981, the second adaptation starring Rami Malek and Slow Horses director James Hawes will be released in April.
This is now out in theaters. I have not been to the show in quite some time, but this one may lure me there. A weekday afternoon in a quiet theater with a coke and popcorn may not be the worst way to spend a few hours.

By all appearances this will be a movie. It is still in production. It is due to come out on April 11, 2025.
