Fantasy, yes please! discussion

My last DNF was 40 rules of love because the story was quite slow for me and I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected to.

Unfortunately, mine was Skyshade by Alex Aster. It was just so fast that I felt as confused as the FMC while reading it :( I loved the first two books, but this one was a miss for me :/
