A leprechaun? A race horse? Grandma Mazur kidnapped? All of these and so much more face Stephanie Plum in this light-hearted romp. Grandma has found a duffel bag stuffed with nearly a million dollars, promptly buys a Winnebago, hires someone to drive her to Atlantic City and begins gambling with the found money. She is approached by a little man in green pants who swears he is a leprechaun and that the money is rightfully his. Not quite true, as he stole it from a dangerous gangster back in Trenton for the purpose of treating an injured race horse named Doug. Stephanie, with the handsome and intriguing Diesel in tow, rushes to the casino to bring Grandma home. Unfortunately, the gangster now knows where the money has gone and kidnaps Grandma until all of the money is returned to him. Stephanie, Diesel, Lula and Connie pile into the Winnebago to rescue both Doug and Grandma. St. Patrick's Day is not turning out to be very lucky for Stephanie Plum.
The audios of these books are always so well done by Lorelei King. This one is a typical Stephanie Plum adventure/disaster with, once again, destruction of Stephanie's latest car. Diesel is an interesting character who seems to have other-worldly gifts. Lula is always good for a laugh and Connie is a surprisingly accurate sniper. Fun stuff.
