Janice (jamasc) | 60450 comments Eager beavers, reshaping the land. Was it an interesting read?

message 29: by Beth (new)

Beth (eparks4232) | 2590 comments It was really good except the part about trapping was hard to read. But the stuff about how they impact the environment and rejuvenate natural areas was really cool. And I actually know one of the people she talks about quite a bit in a couple chapters (and she talks about the river that is running not far from our backyard!

message 30: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 60450 comments That is cool. It's fun to read books that are "close to home" like that. Years ago, I was reading a novel and it mentioned arriving at the Clairmont corner. I thought it interesting because we have a Clairmont corner in the area. Then the protagonist pulled into my city. She was stationed in the hamlet where I was living. I kept that book for years, but I think it got lost at some point.
