Write here which book would you like to read in February.
The full list of VMC books you can find on our to-read shelf.

For the sake of diversity, please don't nominate books from previous poll, that is:
Millenium Hall by Sarah Scott
The Third Miss Symons by F.M. Mayor
You will be able to nominate them again after a month.

Take also a look at our buddy-reads in 2005. Please, do not nominate these books too, you can read them with us as a buddy-read.

You can nominate 1 or 2 books. The rest of the rules you can find here.

Daniela Sorgente | 68 comments I would like to read Virginia by Ellen Glasgow (I bought it used yesterday at a Christmas fair together with Harriet Hume: A London Fantasy by Rebecca West and Sunlight on a Broken Column by Attia Hosain) 😊🎄

What a great fair it had to be! :-)

If you want we can add the two other books as a buddy-read. I will read them with you (here is the thread). February is free like all other months after March.

Marilyn I nominate In Diamond Square (alternate title: The Time of the Doves) by Mercè Rodoreda.

Kim | 5 comments I'd like to nominate
Precious Bane by Mary Webb
It's a historical romance with a difference (good for a Valentines Day read in Feb 2025) and it's highly rated on goodreads.

I just added it to our buddy-read, so we will read it, nomination isn't necessary.

Laura (loranne) | 319 comments I'm interested to read - 'In Diamond Square'. I'll vote.
I've already read - A Game of Hide and Seek - fabulous!
Happy to read - Virginia - never heard of Ellen Glasgow - so curious about her. 😊

Sonia Johnson | 144 comments Bought In Diamond Square yesterday from a local Oxfam bookshop. If it is not picked I would be interested in a buddy read sometime during the year.
Also agree never heard of Ellen Glasgow, but looks interesting.
