I wanted to let you know about my first Christian children's book. After seeing the crisis in identity in our world, I felt moved to write this to give parents a creative tool to help their children understand their identity as children of God.

There are many lessons that can be taught when understanding the symbolism in the book, the central theme being illustrated by the balloon. The balloon is created for a specific thing - to be filled and lifted up by helium. In fact, it is created "incomplete" and can never be what it was created to be without the helium. When filled with other worldly things, it is burdened and ultimately breaks. This represents our lives: we were created to be filled with God's divine life through the Holy Spirit, but we can tend to fill our lives with worldly things that cannot fulfill or satisfy us.

Tommy's father (who represents our Heavenly Father) recreates it with a cross-shaped tool so it can be filled with helium again and ascend, enabling it again to be what it was created to be. The illustrations and facial expressions are captivating and the book is in rhyme, making it a fun and inspirational read. Even adults have been inspired by it.
