25.3: Beth NC's Task- Winter Solstice

Dec 21st is Winter Solstice which is the shortest day of the year and also the longest night of the year.

Choose 2 options and read 1 book each
Required: State the options

Option 1: Read during day light hours means you have very little daylight so read a book from this list:
https://bookriot.com/best-short-books/
Graphic novels are allowed.
Books must meet the SRC guidelines (100 page minimum)

Option 2: Long nights are made for curling up with a good book and a blanket.
Read a book from this cozy mystery list: If a whole series is listed you may read any book from the series.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/entert...
Or this cozy fantasy list: https://www.usatoday.com/story/entert...
Required: State which list used

Option 3: December 21st falls on a Saturday so take all weekend and read a book from this list of best long books over 500 pages: https://bookriot.com/must-read-big-bo...

Option 4: Dec 21st is also known as Yule. Read a book that has all 4 letters in YULE in the title/subtitle OR in author's name. They do not have to be sequential

For some reason Goodreads is acting up and will not let me reply to your post.

The letters must be found exclusively in either the title OR the author's name. So Lucky would not work

Susan A | 1830 comments Can you confirm that Cursed Cocktails by S.L. Rowland is on the Cozy Fantasy list?

I have it in my notes as an option, but I can no longer open the list on my computer.

Thank you

Jenn | 70 comments For option 1, The Grownup by Gillian Flynn, it’s 64 pages. Is that too short? It was found on this list: https://bookriot.com/best-short-books/

From the rules of the challenge:
“Books must have at least 100 pages to be used for points in the SRC.
One book between 80 -99 pages may be used for ONE 5 point task”

Unfortunately 64pages is too short for an SRC book task - the task description has now been amended to ensure this is clear
