whoo hoo!Christmas scene on cover to be read in January seems harsh! we able to stretch a point to generic snowy-ness?
I'll be able to grab tagged Germany with a biography of Martin Luther. :)Sammy took charge of developing the Sheet and will dedicate herself to it after Wheel is over. 😊
I've already made a start! Might even get it finished before. Not needing formulae for point calculation and such makes it a lot quicker 😆
Love it Karen!Teddie: official GIFs are fab, but please don't inflict one of your infamously horrific AI gen images on us! I don't think I could cope with strangely positioned baked goods!
Hi Teddy, glad to see you here and seconding Cat's request. 🤭
Cat, what do you mean by "strangely positioned" ....
on 2nd thoughts, I don't want to know. 🤭
I made a copy of Sammy's beautiful Master Sheet for us. The link is now in our 1st team post, together with Karen's awesome team design. 🥰
Mel - do you remember her inferior painting creation? Strangely positioned painting implements galore!
Teddie, drinker of the bitter invention of Satan wrote: "@Cat hmm, that kinda sounds like a challenge to me ;)"I was worried you'd take it that way!
I really didn't mean to traumatize anyone with the goofy AI images - out of respect for JRRT I will resist temptation and refrain from experimenting for this challenge - I will diminish, and go into the west, and remain Teddie.
Does my heart go pitter-patter every time someone quotes (or paraphrases) LotR?Why yes, yes it does.
The only brew for the brave and truuuuuuuuue... Comes from the Green Dragon!https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Go forth and mingle! 😁
Merry Xmas eve 🎄I’ll be reading The Girl with the Louding Voice for one of my RL Bookclubs in Jan so I’ve added that to our spreadsheet for EDITH in title 😊
Happy Holidays! 🎄❤️ 🎆Wishing you lots of festive first and second breakfastses, lunches and dinners. 🍽
also, I think I must have been very unwell recently, because I haven't planned a single, solitary book for january yet!! 😲
I haven't either, although the January audiobook challenge prompt and this one calls for me listening to the Tolkien letters. :) ♡
Besides the gorgeous LOTR collector's HU edition, I also got the coveted The Nightmare Before Christmas lego set, so Domi and I've been busy building it. :D
Nice!I got: https://www.waterstones.com/book/the-...
and: https://www.lowplexbooks.com/cdn/shop...
and also: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dollhouse-Mi... (but not building it until safely ensconsed in new house!)
Actually I just realised that we need an extra room to do justice to all the legos Domi & I got bw ourselves. :D
Ok, I've lined up some "next to read books" for Jan, and a couple of them fit tasks here without having to actually read the books first, so grabbed them. Will do a bit more digging once others have grabbed themselves whatever they want to read 😁
Q: is
this good for the Christmas cover?Reasons why: snow visible through the window, holly at the bottom, Christmas in title
Reasons why not: bit subtle
Thoughts?
I finished EDITH in the title. It was a small book and a public holiday here 😊I’m now working on two Tomes before UNO starts so I won’t claim any more tasks but will be on the lookout for if they can fit for any reason.(Unfortunately one is Cormoran Strike 7 and JKR doesn’t use her initialled name as an author for that series!)
