Fun so far... continues from the insect POV in the epilogue of book 1...

Chapter 4: ROFL... this is very Ravensdagger... (view spoiler)[Mantis tries to kill Bone Dude, thwarted by maid a few times... maid mentions to Bone Dude... Bone Dude tells maid to "take care of mantis", and maid misinterprets that to taking care of mantis and "teaching mantis to take care of themselves / become a maid"... Bone Dude finds the misunderstanding funny and lets it continue... clearly intended for Alex/maid to kill the mantis... here we are... (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5-9: Face. Palm.... this is adorably hilarious... (view spoiler)[the way Fenfang the Limpet misunderstands Rem's feelings towards Alex... confusing murderous thoughts and clueless actions with romance tropes... OMFG... and it KEEPS... HAPPENING...

I'm reminded of all the memes/fanart/discussion about Shallan watching Renarin/Rlain's romance in Wind & Truth... only that's NOT what's happening here... it's just what Fenfang THINKS is happening... (hide spoiler)]

Stopped commenting after awhile, but continued to love...

Also been more accepting of the Bone Daddy's Dad Joke Puns...

Iain said it is coming soon so fingers crossed. I am planning on reading this today, I finished DCC #4 and I am staying on the "I'll do what I want" kick :)

I'm still waiting for a few other buddy reads to become available at the library so I might start this one today as well.

Joined Soundbooth Theatre discord... no new news yet... youtube comment on the Cold Reads in February says they hope to have it out in the next few months...

Yea, this was awesome, as expected... needed this last night to get back to reading and stop burning my day away on comedy/youtube vids...

I read this earlier and I loved it so much! (view spoiler)[Hoe many times did the words stupid and dumb appear in the book? I was cracking up, I loved the new additions to the characters and I agree the Limpit misunderstanding Rem's feelings towards Alex at first was hilarious. I feel like the puns were more concentrated this time but once again I was not only not annoyed but I thought they were funny. I hope the third audio is released quickly :) (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 21: Poor Mem (view spoiler)[ She tried to become a cat lady and the other mantises ate them and then the dogs. I also love how jealous Rem is at the thought of Mem joining them. Last night I left off before the chapter with Mem and it took me awhile to figure out what was going on. (hide spoiler)]

Mem is great... and the focus of the Soundbooth bonus epilogue this time around... Mem's guide to befriending animals, if you're a scary mantis creature with no hands...

I loved everything about this book <3

It makes me miss Cinnabun as well. I loved that one just as much.

I liked those well enough but I adore these. Perhaps this can be chalked up to the narration? I don't think that is entirely why but it definitely increased my enjoyment a ton.

The 2 series are very similar... this one has a hint more darkness, but not much... narration is the biggest thing that makes them feel distinct in my head... otherwise, I feel like you could plop Harold into Cinnabun world and it would be similar story...

Discord paid off… Dead Tired preorder dropped yesterday… releases April 29th, so we can schedule DT3 for May and Sporemageddon for June/July/August…

Started this and enjoying. Interesting how this very Ravensdagger... but also reminding me a lot of Wandering Inn, and Vigor Mortis too... Mantis and Alex's interactions are making me laugh.

Wandering Inn has a bit of everything... Ravensdagger tends to stick to cozy shenanigans...

The Mantis make me think of the Antinium... and the Limpet's magical fumbling make me think of Vita in Vigor Mortis...

Not sure how far I am now--maybe 2/3rds? My ipod is all the way over there, and I am all the way over here... oh wait! I just heard "Chapter 34" so I'm through 33... (view spoiler)[Super cute so far. I love Mem (?)--she's such a contrast to the other Mantis, and jives so well with the Limpet... The whole "curmudgeon surrounded by cute loveable people" vibe is just adorable.

I also love how Iain compared Limpet's continued misunderstanding of Mantis's feelings about Alex to Shallan's excitement over Renarin & Rlain... loved that scene...

Finished yesterday. Super cute and enjoyed. Loved the bit near the end when (view spoiler)[the Limpet went to accept the Cultivation artists' surrender, and they had trouble accepting that she was the one in charge. And then she had to smack them down when some tried to attack her. Go Limpet!

Also loved the post-credits bonus. Now I want to go find some cute animal to pet and befriend... (hide spoiler)]

#3 Audio is out! Just got it.
