[COMPLETE] Cleanup: Heat 2

Thank you again, Patricia. The author issue is weird - I'll start a new thread elsewhere if needed.Bumping for #11-#14.
Bumping. It looks like the author issue on #10 was cleaned up, but #11-#14 still need to be finished.
#11-12 CorrectedIt looks like the bot added ASIN. Librarians can't add ASIN or ISBN to an existing edition anyway (even it's blank), the support can correct ISBN but not ASIN.
#13 Skipped
#14 Librarians cannot add Audible and Kindle editions anymore, only the bot has the right to do this. Maybe the support can.

Thanks for your help with 11-12. Bumping for #13.That librarian rule change is ridiculous and insane. Everyone on the site knows that the bot is a complete disaster, and now they're delegating more of the site's functionality to it? Anyone can plainly see that it oftentimes completely neglects international Kindle/Audible editions, and it sure as hell doesn't know how to follow the site's own policy re: alternate cover editions. And we all saw the insane rampage it went on in Autumn 2024 where it deleted hundreds of thousands of ebook editions and staff didn't stop it for weeks. Congratulations to them for finding even more terrible ways to run the site, I guess.
Yeah. Audible edition is here (with ASIN from amazon.com). I moved it to correct author and combined with other editions.
Heat 2
All the Audibles from amazon.com should be added by the bot. Looks like the support cannot add them too. I'm not sure how to deal with Audibles from other amazons.

1. US Hardcover: Heat 2 (ISBN 9780062653314)
- The description is incorrect. It should read as follows, transcribed directly from the book jacket:
Michael Mann, four-time-Oscar-nominated writer-director of The Last of the Mohicans, The Insider, Ali, Miami Vice, Collateral, and Heat teams up with Edgar Award–winning author Meg Gardiner to deliver Mann’s first novel, an explosive return to the universe and characters of his classic crime film—with an all-new story unfolding in the years before and after the iconic movie
One day after the end of Heat, Chris Shiherlis (Val Kilmer) is holed up in Koreatown, wounded, half delirious, and desperately trying to escape LA. Hunting him is LAPD detective Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino). Hours earlier, Hanna killed Shiherlis’s brother in arms Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) in a gunfight under the strobe lights at the foot of an LAX runway. Now Hanna’s determined to capture or kill Shiherlis, the last survivor of McCauley’s crew, before he ghosts out of the city.
In 1988, seven years earlier, McCauley, Shiherlis, and their highline crew are taking scores on the West Coast, the US-Mexican border, and now in Chicago. Driven, daring, they’re pulling in money and living vivid lives. And Chicago homicide detective Vincent Hanna—a man unreconciled with his history—is following his calling, the pursuit of armed and dangerous men into the dark and wild places, hunting an ultraviolent gang of home invaders.
Meanwhile, the fallout from McCauley’s scores and Hanna’s pursuit cause unexpected repercussions in a parallel narrative, driving through the years following Heat.
Heat 2 projects its dimensional and richly drawn men and women into whole new worlds—from the inner sanctums of rival crime syndicates in a South American free-trade zone to transnational criminal enterprises in Southeast Asia. The novel brings you intimately into these lives. In Michael Mann’s Heat universe, they will confront new adversaries in lethal circumstances beyond all boundaries.
Heat 2 is engrossing, moving, and tragic—a masterpiece of crime fiction with the same extraordinary ambitions, scope, and rich characterizations as the epic film.

- The description is incorrect. It should read as follows:
Michael Mann, Oscar-nominated filmmaker and writer-director of Heat and Miami Vice, teams up with Meg Gardiner to deliver Mann’s first crime novel, an explosive return to the world and characters of his classic film Heat – an all-new story that illuminates what happened before and after the film.
Described by Michael Mann as both a prequel and sequel to the renowned, critically acclaimed film of the same name, HEAT 2 covers the formative years of homicide detective Vincent Hanna (Oscar winner Al Pacino) and elite criminals Neil McCauley (Oscar winner Robert De Niro), Chris Shiherlis (Val Kilmer), and Nate (Oscar winner Jon Voight), and features the same extraordinary ambition, scope, rich characterizations, and attention to detail as the epic film.
This new story leads up to the events of the film and then moves beyond it, featuring new characters on both sides of the law, new high-line heists, and breathtakingly cinematic action sequences. Ranging from the streets of L.A. to the inner sancta of rival Taiwanese crime syndicates in Paraguay to a massive drug cartel money-laundering operation just over the border in Mexico, HEAT 2 illuminates the dangerous workings of international crime organizations and the agents who pursue them as it provides a full-blooded portrait of the men and women who inhabit both worlds.
Operatic in scope, HEAT 2 is engrossing, moving, and tragic – a masterpiece of crime fiction from one of the most innovative and influential filmmakers in American cinema.
