I put on my hat, mask, & glasses to not be identified on cameras. I put on my gloves to ensure no fingerprints. My elf magic binds everyone in the bank under my spell. The hypnotised guard disables the alarm. The staff help me get the item and put it in my car. Another spell takes all their memories of me and the event. I drive away with no-one knowing what happened. Profit.
Quest 1A
Your plan was solid, however, the bank had planned ahead for something like this. They employed a wizard on staff. The wizard was able to resist your spell and replace the bag of flour with a decoy bag. The decoy bag of flour was taken to your car and you escaped with it unknowingly.
The real bag of bottomless flour that can end world hunger is still safe & sound in a secret vault at the bank. Do you plan a new heist? Or do you concede?

You conceded and, therefore, you do not get the bag of endless flour. You do have the plain flour that you stole the first time. Maybe you can bake something…

Alas, I'm currently in autistic burnout...so my capability for planning quests is gone. So for the time being, I'll be conceding most of the quests. So I can still do the spell-outs.
Richard, you forgot to do step 2. I have to send this back to you to do step 2. You can resubmit it when you are done. Take your time... it doesn't have to be done today. It can be weeks from now. This is not a race.

You may take your time. This is not a race. You can take weeks or a month if you need to. I know you are in a burnout right now. If you would like, you can ask someone to write a story for you and you can just read the books to fit it. That is perfectly acceptable. I won't fault you for asking for help.

I was checking to see who was still playing. I did that so I wouldn't keep checking your thread. I archived the threads of people who weren't actively playing. I checked the spreadsheets also to verify because some of you were only updating them. Nothing to worry about.
Donna wrote: "Nothing to worry about."Ok, thanks. I appreciate your explanation. I thought you wanted me to replicate what I put in the spreadsheet into this thread. Good to know I don't have to navigate that exercise. All good.
🕰️ Quest 3D: Fractured Timelines
The release of the Elder Evils has torn the fabric of reality. Time splinters and rewrites itself, fracturing your world into overlapping, conflicting timelines. Every choice, every moment exists simultaneously in countless alternate versions — some familiar, some terrifyingly strange.
To navigate these fractured timelines and prevent complete annihilation, you must seek understanding and mastery of time’s broken strands.
Your Tasks: Mending the Shattered Hours
The Mirror of Other Lives
Read a book set in an alternate universe or parallel world.
Find how a character’s life could have gone differently — a glimpse of what “might have been.”
Facing Yourself
Read a book where a character encounters a version of themselves — a doppelgänger, alternate self, or shadow self.
Confront the duality of your fractured identity.
The Broken Clock
Read a book with time, clocks, cycles, or temporal disruption as a theme or symbol.
Learn how time’s broken pieces can be understood — or shattered further.
Tangled Threads
Read a book with nonlinear storytelling or shifting timelines.
Discover how stories can be unwound and rewound, rewriting fate itself.
Final Task: Stitch the Fragments
Once all four tasks are complete, you must choose:
Attempt to weave the fractured timelines into one reality, restoring order but at great cost.
Read a book one in any series
OR
Embrace the chaos of multiple realities, becoming a guardian of the multiverse’s infinite possibilities.
Read a book with multiple timelines
Your choice will shape the fate of existence itself.

Sorry, I mislabeled that last quest number. I don't know what I was thinking. Too many threads open or something.
⚖️ Quest 3E: The Price of Unity
You have woven the fractured timelines back into one reality, but the cost weighs heavy on your soul. Echoes of lives you never lived whisper in your mind. Flickers of alternate selves blur your vision. The balance you restored is fragile — and unseen forces watch, waiting for the moment to tear it apart again.
To hold this new unity and face what comes next, you must explore the consequences of your sacrifice.
📚 Reading Tasks for The Price of Unity
Echoes of What Was
📘Read a book where a character wrestles with lost memories or forgotten pasts.
What is real when memory bends? Can you hold on to who you truly are?
The Watchers Between Worlds
📘Read a book featuring mysterious observers or entities existing between realities.
They see the seams, waiting for the moment to pull them apart again.
Shadows of the Price Paid
📘Read a book with a character suffering from the consequences of a great sacrifice.
Every stitch you sewed frayed another thread somewhere else.
The New Balance
📘Read a book where fragile peace is established, but hints of coming turmoil lurk.
The world is quiet — for now.
Once you complete these tasks, you will have faced the true price of your choice — and prepared for what lurks beyond the veil of unity.
