I think Troubles by J G Farrell would also work. Though it is set in a hotel, the family and many of the guests consider it their home.

If you're looking for a quick read for this task you can pick any of the 3 Edgar Allen Poe stories. They all fit.

I think so! It's been a bit since I read it, but I think almost the whole story is set at Mansfield Park.


Just finished it. Definitely fits the definition. This is not a normal hotel, it is home to it's occupants.
