   The magic of this world is mad complex, so here is a topic to address all
   of the fun intricacies of the magic system.

   

   • 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗖 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠

   The magic system has been vaguely explained throughout the
   information topics, but of course it would need some elaboration!
   There are technology-seeming things such as prosthetics, dirigibles, and
   hoverboards, but they are not run by batteries or fuel. Magic and spells
   are used to give all things their properties.

   This is why the shadowfog, which is a wispy shadow-like fog that has
   been spreading across the lands, is such a massive threat. Anyone or
   anything it touches loses its magic entirely and living things will die unless
   they escape, but if the shadowfog touches any part of a living creature,
   that body part will wither away and there is no way to magically repair it.
   Trying will result in no change. Even the most powerful healers cannot
   undo shadowfog damage, but the limb can be fully replaced with a
   prosthetic that has been infused with magic.

   Anyone can use any kind of magic, there are no classes or limitations.
   Some Luxians may have an affinity or strength for a type of magic, but
   that does not mean that it is the only kind they can use. Magic is like a
   muscle—if you hone it and work on it, it grows more powerful.

   Below is a list of magic categories that are like umbrella terms but there
   are limitless magical talents and abilities that can stem from these. Their
   rarity scale is determined by the stars presented below and the abilities
   that are easiest to most difficult.

   Do not be spooked by this—it is merely a guide for you to see examples
   of powers. None of this needs to be mentioned or particularly used. It is
   a guide. I repeat, it is merely a guide.


   • 𝗔𝗕𝗝𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡⠀powerful defensive spells and wards

   𝟬𝟬𝟭⠀physical shield around a single entity, arcane lock (magically locked
             room, cannot access without using magic)
   𝟬𝟬𝟮⠀nondetection (muffles sound, obscures sight slightly), freedom of
             movement (parkour ease, better agility)
   𝟬𝟬𝟯⠀dispel magic (depending on level of magic already in place),
             banishment (moving someone or something away, teleporting
             others)
   𝟬𝟬𝟰⠀physical shield around a location (building) or multiple entities
   𝟬𝟬𝟱⠀physical shield around a portion of the city, invulnerability
             (protecting an entity or multiple entities from any harm)

   • 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗝𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡⠀creating/conjuring creatures or objects

   𝟬𝟬𝟭⠀telekinesis
   𝟬𝟬𝟮⠀find familiar (summoning a creature for a short time for a specific
             purpose)
   𝟬𝟬𝟯⠀teleporting (harder the further the distance)
   𝟬𝟬𝟰⠀create food/water, create an automaton/machine from magic
   𝟬𝟬𝟱⠀summon beast (summoning a large creature for a short time for a
             specific purpose)

   • 𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧⠀charming/altering someone’s mental state

   𝟬𝟬𝟭⠀any form altering someone’s perception in a very subtle way while in
             conversation
   𝟬𝟬𝟮⠀animal friendship (make an animal more friendly or put them at ease
             by mere suggestion, especially in aggressive encounters)
   𝟬𝟬𝟯⠀charm (making an entity more friendly in a subtle and temporary
             way), command (temporarily stop someone from moving or freezing
             them in place)
   𝟬𝟬𝟰⠀sleep (put someone to sleep for a short period of time)
   𝟬𝟬𝟱⠀suggestion (make someone do something by sheer will), zone of
             truth (make someone tell the truth)

   • 𝗘𝗩𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡⠀elemental mastery/damage

   𝟬𝟬𝟭⠀basic summoning of elements (cooling a hot drink, lighting a match
             without a fire source), creating a gust of wind for dramatic
             entrance (we need edgy, arrogant characters like this)
   𝟬𝟬𝟮⠀using elements (throwing a small fireball, filling a water fountain with
             water)
   𝟬𝟬𝟯⠀branches of elements (using elemental-based powers such as rock,
             ice, plants)
   𝟬𝟬𝟰⠀combining elements (summoning small storms, creating a gas cloud,
             stopping fire with wind and water)
   𝟬𝟬𝟱⠀mastering elements (summoning giant storms, making an explosion),
             elemental endurance (fire resistance, longer underwater breathing)

   • 𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡⠀creating disguises, sounds, visuals, visions, nightmares

   𝟬𝟬𝟭⠀minor illusion (creating a sound or light that isn’t actually there)
   𝟬𝟬𝟮⠀dreams (make someone have a nightmare to wake them up without
             touching them, or a good dream to keep them in a slumber)
   𝟬𝟬𝟯⠀disguise self (difficulty depending on the length of time and
             complexity of the disguise)
   𝟬𝟬𝟰⠀invisibility (depending on how long and how many entities are under
             the spell; you are still a physical entity)
   𝟬𝟬𝟱⠀silence (removing others’ abilities to cast spells and making them
             unable to speak)

   • 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗠𝗨𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡⠀changing something’s form/how it functions

   𝟬𝟬𝟭⠀mending (fixing small wounds or ailments on living things or
             nonliving objects)
   𝟬𝟬𝟮⠀vision (allowing someone to see clearly in the dark or grants
             resistance to bright lights)
   𝟬𝟬𝟯⠀message (depending on how you’re transporting it and the distance
             it needs to travel, can be in the form of words in someone’s mind or
             a conjured letter), heat metal (depending on difficulty; helps with
             building machinery with magic or spells), polymorph (permanent
             alterations, this is how appearances can vary so greatly, the
             complexity of the change shows how difficult it will be to do)
   𝟬𝟬𝟰⠀fabricate (creating a new prosthetic or object from thin air)
   𝟬𝟬𝟱⠀flesh to stone (combat-based, turning someone’s flesh into stone or
             permanently altering their body until it is undone or they are helped
             if they’re not dead)

   

   

   A new field of magic is actively being discovered on Lux!
   Chronomancy, the magic of time, is currently being discovered in Voxthain
   by Andre Delacroix, but it's possible that people across the world are
   coming to a similar discovery. As of right now, we are requesting that this
   magic be incredibly limited (like maybe one of your characters are starting
   to grasp at it), and preferably from characters moving to Asterath and
   Voxthain from elsewhere in the world. Eventually there will be a time skip,
   and this limit will be removed.

   • 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗬⠀manipulation of objectial time

   𝟬𝟬𝟭⠀rapid travel (move objects back/forward in time a couple of seconds)
   𝟬𝟬𝟮⠀hasten object (instantly boil water, rot fruit, age wine, etc)
   𝟬𝟬𝟯⠀slow object (opposite of hasten object), historical glance (see a
             glimpse of an object’s past)
   𝟬𝟬𝟰⠀rapid heal (accelerate the healing process of a wound), historical
             vision (see a partial history of an object)
   𝟬𝟬𝟱⠀rapid harm (opposite of rapid heal), historical loss (curse an object to
             remove its magical history)
