Also, do previous editions of book cover remain in the files? Should I have created a new file with this updated book or was I right to update the file?

I read in the Librarian Manual that there is a "Add an Alternate Cover Edition” option. The current cover is the non-published (no-isbn) version of the published book which I have connected to above. Please advise.

Yes, we retain all older editions so that readers may represent their history accurately.

If the new edition has no ISBN, simply create a new edition, not an alternate cover.

Complication is I put the isbn number onto this edition... can you disconnect this isbn for me so I can set up a new edition?
