I still have no idea which one will be my January read.

Hello... so I've decided to read Anis 5 ⭐️ for January "This time tomorrow ".

Now we are less than a week from the new year and the start of our first month challenge. Idk about y’all but I’m excited! I hope we can stick to it throughout the year and maybe set up a book club night where we drink wine and eat fancy cheese (or drink beer, smoke weed and order a pizza 🤣). So here’s what I’ve got so far:

Naila: “This Time Tomorrow” by Emma Straub rated by Ani

Ani: “The Stand” by Stephen King rated by me 😁

Vicky: “Fourth Wing” by Rebecca Yarros rated by Marissa AND “The Great Believers” by Rebecca Makkai rated by Ani

Ashley: TBD (but I am trying to convince her to read Fourth Wing with me lol)

Marissa: TBD but most likely reading a book rated 5 stars by Naila

Marissa and Ashley let us know if you have chosen a book or if you’d like to sit this one out.

If you like a good thriller, I recommend Camilla Bruce "in the garden of spite" or "You let me in"..

I will read Fourth Wing with Vicky!!! sorry to be M.I.A. I promise I am SO excited to do this with you guys!!!!! I'm excited to try one of those thrillers this year. I want to try a murder story or like a "who done it" type!!!

I just started my January book, "This time tomorrow." 😄

Woohoo! I cheated and started The Great Believers 2 days ago 🤣 but I need y’all to know I’m emotionally unstable after A Little Life. I tear up thinking about it so I NEEDED to move on with my life and just jump into another one.

Just started You Let Me In. I’m about 20% in. The writing style is very interesting, it definitely took me a minute to get used to. Also Pepperman is kinda terrifying. But I’m enjoying it so far, I’ll keep you posted!

I've had a slow start. But I WILL finish The Stand in January! Love the premise so far but it's a chunky book. 😆

I finished The Great Believers las yesterday and I will be starting Fourth Wing today but may not get very far this week. I’m very sick and I work all day tomorrow and Wednesday then I’m going out of town this weekend. But I’ll keep y’all updated!

Just finished “You Let Me In”!!! I pretty much just went into it completely blind, so i don’t know what I was expecting but wow it wasn’t that - in a good way! I really enjoyed it though, it was such an original story and the descriptions and visuals were insane. It wasn’t quite a 5 star read for me because the writing style was a little hard to get used to and I kinda wanted more at the end. But overall it was great and it had me wishing we could live in a world surrounded by fairies. Thanks for the recommendation!

I am bout 200 pages into Fourth Wing, and I am absolutely in LOVE. Oh my goodness. I definitely need to look up how some names are pronounced, and I want a grid of the military layout, but I am head over heels for the women growing strong, physically, mentally and in her own confidence! and the dragons are hilarious. 🤣 I'm so excited to finish it. 2/08 works for me!!!!

Great! Marissa says she’s in as well! I’m thinking at 5pm. I’ll make a bunch of finger foods but byob and byow for my 420 friends, you know who you are 😂 see you guys then!! :)

I’m so fucking excited for you Ani. The ending was just as good as the rest of the book in my opinion. Naila you don’t have to start tomorrow. I’m not starting mine until I’m done with Onyx Storm.

I'm taking a day or 2 off before I start my February book too. My next one is going to honestly feel like a pamphlet after January. 😌

It's fine. I'm starting my Feb read right now since I DNF "The secret history" 😩 I just couldn't with that book anymore.
