So there is this thing called Forest of Reading, that aims to promote CanLit (fiction, nonfiction, all age categories). It has different categories for different age groups. Grades 9-12 is the White Pine Award.
Forest of Reading has a volunteer opportunity, where you help select a list of the best Canadian books that came out that year. (You get volunteer hours)!
Anyways I’m trying to tell as many people as I can bc the committee won’t go forward without a decent amount of people.
I think this is a really good opportunity to get hrs and it’ll look good on a resume!
