Trinity, you have so many good books on your list! I've read a lot of them, but the ones I have not read and are particularly interested in are Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants and On Beauty. I'll be watching to see what you think of them. I may have to move them up on my list ;)Have a great reading year and enjoy your challenges!
Welcome to the buffet! Among your options so far I particularly enjoyed Heart of Darkness and Middlemarch.

I recently finished Braiding Sweetgrass so I thought I'd give you a shout. Robin Wall Kimmerer is a great author; she communicates clearly and beautifully. The first few chapters are fantastic, and I was quickly pulled into Kimmerer's world, where humans and nature live in harmony. That said, after a while, the chapters grow repetitive. Themes that were previously inspired become heavy-handed. I'd still recommend this book, but I think it's best digested slowly, maybe at the same time as another book, so it feels like each chapter provides an opportunity to revisit an old idea rather than the same idea with a new story-wrapping. Hope this helps!
