Mary wrote: "Just started ‘The Truth’ by Sir Terry ❤️"Ooh I'm interested to see the review! I glanced it at the bookstore the other day and was curious!
I'm currently reading Truth Telling: Seven Conversations about Indigenous Life in Canada by Michelle Good!
Amity wrote: "Reading Truthwitch, and having an absolute blast doing so. Plan on finishing it tomorrow!"Loved that one!
For anyone looking for another recommendation: the truth about the harry Quebert affair is one of my top favorites
I pick up free books on Kindle randomly, and ha found Scent Of Lies by Debra Burroughs...it was a cute mystery
I just got reminded by Lala's video. I may be mad enough to attempt wind and truth by Brandon sanderson
another book I'm rereading is "One True Thing" by Anna Quindlen. one of my favorite movies and favorite books.
Sarah wrote: "I just got reminded by Lala's video. I may be mad enough to attempt wind and truth by Brandon sanderson"good luck with that beast
I thinking a non fiction, not really in a mystery/thriller mood and that's pretty much all the lie books I've gotI'll probably try The Absinthe Forger: A True Story of Deception, Betrayal, and the World’s Most Dangerous Spirit as long as I can get the audiobook
The Lies of the Ajungo & The Truth of the Aleke are the first two books in a trilogy that is set to complete this year. Fabulous fable-like storytelling
Finished The Truth and I think I enjoyed it even more than I did when it came out. Although it also made me feel a little old, I can’t believe it’s been 25 years 🤣I know a lot of people think that it’s a book you can’t enjoy unless you’re already Pratchett-savvy but I disagree. I think the satire would sit well with anyone who’s that way inclined but I would agree that if you know your way around Ankh-Morpork already it adds something a little special. For me, the minute I put it down I wanted to go back and read the City Watch arc (and the Moist von Lipwig trio) again.
‘The Truth Shall Make Ye Fret’ couldn’t be more accurate right now and the anger about injustice emanating from William de Worde is so well written. Idealistic but not preachy. Still love Sir Terry’s male characters, I was always struck with how different they could be from a lot of toxic male leads in fantasy novels. Big fat five stars from me, would recommend to all and sundry ❤️
I’m reading Longitude: the true story of a lone genius who solved the greatest scientific problem of his time. Loving it!
I just joined this group because I decided to do Lala’s challenge this year. I just finished reading Sometimes I lie by Alice Feeney and I’m still reeling from that ending 😭. It’s exactly what I deserve I guess. I was warned🤣.
I've only just sorted out my tbr (January has been a bit of a mess for me). I'm going to read 'A Girl's Guide to Personal Hygiene: True Stories, Illustrated ' by Tallulah Pomeroy
For the words “truth & lies” I read“I’m Fine… and Other Lies” by Whitney Cummings. (2 star)
For the cover “patterns” I read
Strip Tees: A Memoir of Millenial Los Angeles by Kate Flannery. (5 star)
