Thanks for that . Ill be heading to India ( a month ahead of time :)) with the The Mystic Masseur by V.S. Naipaul. Its going to be my first Naipaul . hope i choose not to badly - it has low rating

And me to Chili!

I still have to finish my Ukraine book, but once that is done I'll be travelling to Russia with Pelagia and the White Bulldog

The only Naipaul I've read was Magic Seeds. It was long ago but I think I enjoyed it. I heard something about him being a terribly rude man but, nonetheless, a great and respected writer!

I recently picked up The Lost Heart of Asia and am about a quarter through. Very good so far.

Brazil for me! In Fordlandia: The Rise and Fall of Henry Ford's Forgotten Jungle City

I just started my book and Ford sounds just like Donald Trump, of whom I am not a fan or supporter. This book will be donated to the Library Friends Bookshop. In the next day or two I will select another book to read in its place. Amen!

I am in the Amur region of Russian Siberia with The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival and will be headed to Brazil next Rubber Soldiers: The Forgotten Army that Saved the Allies in WWII

I have just spent about a week in London with S.G. Maclean, The Bear Pit. Now I am off to Rome apparently with Matthew Harffy, Forest of Foes. Apologies, I don't know how to do the book links on here.

its been sitting there for 9 years - its time ill finish it and take it off my shelf
