Leiah Cooper (leiahingolden) | 332 comments With everything going on in the world, I desperately need laughter in my life. I have searched on GR but the things listed as 'humor' were either bad natured or weren't really humorous at all. I would like audio, as I want to quilt while I listen. I was thrilled when I found "The Leira Chronicles " on audio-until I heard the narration (horrible!) I listen to R.J. Blain's "Magical Romantic Comedy " series more than I should just because I enjoy it and it helps my depression, but I can pretty much repeat them by now, LOL. I like strong women characters, minimal to no sex, and 'love stories ' that aren't the be all and end all of the story.

Anything you can recommend? Thank you in advance everyone!

Moondance (moondance120) | 5 comments The Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter has its moments. She has an odd sense of humor. I crack up each time she says, “just ducky” or “yay, me”. The narrator is fabulous. She sounds just like what I think Jane sounds like in my head when I read the books. I listen while knitting, crocheting, weaving, or rug hooking.

J.M. Celi | 5 comments The Iron Druid series by Kevin Hearne isn't a comedy series, but it has a lot of laughs in it. Oberon, the dog steals a lot of scenes. A great urban fantasy series if you're looking for something with humor.

Kathleen and Jeff | 2 comments So, I don't know if steampunk is UF, but the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carrigan makes me so happy when I read it. I literally laugh out loud and sometimes set the book in my lap just to pause a scene and hold a moment of joy.
