“Wonder” written by R.J. Palacio is a heartwarming and inspiring story about a boy named August Pullman (also known as auntie throughout the book) who suffers from a facial deformity . This book tells us about his life and his challenges when he adjusts to his new school Beecher prep . Told from multiple perspectives , it explores the themes of kindness , acceptance , compassion and the power of empathy . Overall this book provides a beautiful and important message of looking beyond a person’s outward appearance but rather what’s on the inside as well as always treating someone with kindness and compassion.
